| @gitter_trumpton:matrix.org | ]'ve installed the latest NVDA on two machines - one is Windows 7, and the other is Windows 10. On the Windows 7 machine, as I type quickly, I hear each letter, and the braille display updates as I type. On the Windows 10 machine, I don't hear individual letters and only after I pause for (i'd guess) 250 ms, do I then hear the last letter I typed, and see all the letters I typed on the braille display. I presume there is a timeout somewhere, but a at a loss to find out where. I think I need to find this 250ms, and reduce it to,say, 10ms - any ideas what I can do? Ta. | 16:23:38 |

| @gitter_robenavi:matrix.org | Hi. I am writing on behalf of my wife, Rosa, who is trying to learn to use NVDA. Rosa is vision impaired and can navigate most websites. Reading more than a few words at a time is very tiring and gives her headaches. So, we are trying to get the read aloud function to work. After downloading NVDA, it read aloud a bit, but then cut out. We hover the mouse at the beginning of text on a webpage, but no voice is activated. - reboot
- load NVDA
- open a webpage, preferably in a newer browser, such as up-to-date Chrome or Firefox
- when the webpage loads, NVDA should begin reading the content. If it stops you should be able to read 'up' and 'down' through the content with the up and down arrow keys.
