Just to be clear YouTube already uses widewine, but only for movies (both for the pay to view and free with ada ones), which makes sense as they have to stick to whatever licensing contracts they have with the studios, which probably require DRM.

You really don't want to be using any cracks in anything like Invidious, as bypassing DRM is illegal in many jurisdictions.

I can recommend following the official Invidious installation instructions, then you won't have the problem of being stuck on older versions: https://docs.invidious.io/installation/
