ao.oa | Hi, i'm new to invidious and I am not able to get any comments on any videos no matter the instance i choose? Has it been blocked by YT? | 13:31:35 |
TheFrenchGhosty | yes, it's blocked | 13:32:28 |
ao.oa | thanks | 13:32:45 |

tezlm | what do these options do? | 14:48:07 |
tezlm | Download image.png | 14:48:08 |
tezlm | presumably they're related to this docs page but i still don't understand the difference | 14:48:31 |

tezlm | my best guess would be that some are related to playlists but i'm unsure | 14:49:10 |
Samantaz Fox |
- When autoplay is enabled, the current video will play automatically, but only if your browser settings doesn't block that feature.
- Play next should tell your browser to switch to the "next" video (either recommended or next in playlist) after the current one ends, but is somewhat broken because of https://github.com/iv-org/invidious/issues/4573
- "Autoplay next" should be an override for the autoplay setting above in playlists, but is probably irrelevant due to the bug I mentionned above.
| 15:08:28 |
Samantaz Fox | Ideally, I should make the "play next" option as drop down selector with the following choices: "never", "only in playlists", "alway" | 15:10:14 |
yuko | so im attempting to proxy pass invidious to a seperate subdomain. everything works except for logging in/account creation, im guessing that has to do with the config explicitly setting the domain, so, is there a way to have the same invidious instance run on two domains? thanks | 15:10:55 |
Samantaz Fox | ping tezlm so you won't miss my replies above ^ | 15:11:48 |
Samantaz Fox | yuko sorry, no, this is not currently possible, unless you write some middleware to rewrite URLs on the fly. | 15:12:46 |

thanks! | 15:12:52 |
Samantaz Fox | I think in the issue tracker someone did that with a ton of NGINX rewrite rules, but I'm not sure if it works well. | 15:13:05 |
tezlm | In reply to@samantazfox:pussthecat.org Ideally, I should make the "play next" option as drop down selector with the following choices: "never", "only in playlists", "alway" ah yeah, "play next only in playlists" was what i was trying to do by fiddling with the checkboxes | 15:13:24 |
Samantaz Fox | tezlm you're welcome :) | 15:13:24 |
tezlm | In reply to@tezlm:celery.eu.org ah yeah, "play next only in playlists" was what i was trying to do by fiddling with the checkboxes (is there an open issue for this, or should i open one?) | 15:14:38 |
Samantaz Fox | I think that's mentionned in my Account/preferences UI rewrite | 15:21:35 |
Samantaz Fox | but you can still open an issue (mention that we discussed that on matrix) | 15:22:08 |
iv-bot | <Schuis> is there a rss feed for everything except shorts? | 15:58:09 |
Samantaz Fox | Schuis Not at the moment, sorry | 16:03:11 |
iv-bot | <Schuis> thanks - I'm just reading that Piped has the time in seconds. I wonder if it's having to scrape each video to get that | 16:04:54 |
iv-bot | <Schuis> youtube itself has some other metadata I'm not currently interested in, but not the length | 16:06:34 |
Samantaz Fox | it depends where, but on most pages (playlists, channel tabs, etc...) we always get the video length in seconds, in addition to the human representation (seen at the bottom right of the thumbnail) | 16:08:55 |
iv-bot | <Schuis> so it may be fairly straightforward for that to be added to the RSS for a channel? | 16:17:02 |
