Lol, there is an HTTP 451 "451 Unavailable For Legal Reasons - The user agent requested a resource that cannot legally be provided, such as a web page censored by a government."

I will use a russian government crawler list and return them this status code.

😆😆😆

I use tailscale on my matrix server and tailscale blocks Russians ip addresses, but with using the tailscale 'app' feature I route the tailscale domain over the tailscale VPN and resolve and access from a non Russian ip.... that may be a option... myown ISP blocks the same server so I have to use tailscale again to access it.

@blade:darkness.services@blade:darkness.servicesYou could setup a ipv6 tunnel in a different country and have invidious use that.15:04:34

@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.org I think you misunderstood, I dont host in Russia and am not in Russia myself, so there is no threat for me or my server.
I just thought about blocking Russian govt due to them always being assholes towards the public instance owners.

@semnosao:matrix.orgsemnosao (Old)hello, thank you all the contributors and hosters to the amazing work. Im trying to import the XML exported with the option: "Export Subscriptions as OPML (NewPipe and FreeTube)" but those dont seem to be supported anymore. I tried importing it to NewPipe and none of the import options there work. Is this a known issue? Does it have an workaround?20:43:49
@fijxu:zzls.xyz@fijxu:zzls.xyzBasically NewPipe only allows JSON in the import options btw20:44:54
@fijxu:zzls.xyz@fijxu:zzls.xyzExporting invidious data as JSON doesn't work for NewPipe (I tried it like 5 minutes ago)20:45:20
@semnosao:matrix.orgsemnosao (Old)I tried importing also as a "Youtube" export but it didnt work either20:45:27
@samantazfox:pussthecat.orgSamantaz Fox semnosao (Old) Hello, thnkas for your kinds word :) 20:47:31
@samantazfox:pussthecat.orgSamantaz Foxyes, NewPipe doesn't support OPML anymore20:47:57
@semnosao:matrix.orgsemnosao (Old)Is there a chorus I can join my voice asking for them to go back supporting it?20:58:50
@samantazfox:pussthecat.orgSamantaz FoxI don't think so22:05:01
@samantazfox:pussthecat.orgSamantaz Foxin all case, it'd be better for us (invidious) to export to the right format anyway.22:05:17
@absidue:matrix.orgabsidueI know it's a bit of a crappy workaround but you could import the OPML subscriptions file into FreeTube and then export it in the NewPipe JSON format, as FreeTube supports importing and exporting both formats.22:09:04

@ibicha:matrix.orgibichaYeah that tool only solves takeout from YouTube. Cross app format can be solved with https://github.com/UniversalPipeWrench/unified-user-data-format/pull/2 though, it looks like a promising initiative23:12:27
