You can, in general, trust any instance on the public list, the maintainers have a "no bullshit" philosophy when it comes to hosting Invidious.
18:16:12
@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.orgI.e. all have to follow strict rules18:16:33
@st33l:matrix.orgst33lhttps://docs.invidious.io/instances/ this list, right?18:17:46
@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.orgYou can read about the rules here: https://docs.invidious.io/instances/#rules-to-have-your-instance-in-this-list18:17:48
@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.orgYup18:18:02
@alexpewmaster:nope.chatAlexPewMaster (moved to @alexpewmaster:reallyaweso.me)This might be a bit off-topic, but I really appreciate the friendliness that's in this room. I (and many others!) don't have to fear about posting my issues in here and getting absolutely bashed for my incompetence, I can just ask and get friendly answers. I'm really grateful for this welcoming community!18:19:40
@daknig:matrix.org@daknig:matrix.orghi, I will re-ask my question19:03:25

@daknig:matrix.org@daknig:matrix.orgsuppose I wanna use Invidious API to get the info19:03:53
@daknig:matrix.org@daknig:matrix.orgwhat do I do?19:03:55
@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.orgI dont think there is an API for users19:27:56
@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.orgCheck the source code: https://github.com/iv-org/invidious/tree/master/src/invidious/routes/api/v119:28:07
@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.orgYT users != Invidious users19:28:22
@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.orgAPI docs: https://docs.invidious.io/api/19:29:12
@daknig:matrix.org@daknig:matrix.orgyes I did not find it there so I asked19:29:24
@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.orgLike I said, Invidious does not use Google Accounts as users19:29:54
@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.orgSo there is nothing to query19:30:06
@daknig:matrix.org@daknig:matrix.orgyes but can it not uh, do API call to youtube to resolve that?19:30:31
@daknig:matrix.org@daknig:matrix.orgturns out invidious does make it work somehow19:30:58
@daknig:matrix.org@daknig:matrix.orgI do not know how but it works19:31:04
@weidenwiesel:matrix.org@weidenwiesel:matrix.orgWhat do you mean by make it work? Invidious doesn't even use the YT API, its basically "just a web client" 19:31:56

cannot see that in the API docs
yep, which is why you weren't able to find it, hence why i'm mentioning it here, the api docs are far behind, the prs to update them haven't been merged yet
19:33:45
@daknig:matrix.org@daknig:matrix.orgI see, thanks19:34:08
