rikki_js | In reply to @smokeysea:matrix.org Hello all, I am exploring an option to start a platform coop in India. Unfortunately coop outside agricultural/small-bank is new to India. Please point direction if someone has some info on the same or someone who is also trying/tried doing this. Ooh this sounds exciting! I hope you found some answers. I remember discussing platform co-ops to the more agriculture/credit-union oriented community at conferences in rural areas years back, when our worker co-op agency would attend or speak. They are already familiar with group-purchasing by farmers or businesses, but imagine that with whatever service your platform offers as a customer co-op. For folks in the older ICA co-op movement who are often more familiar with ag and financial co-ops, the phrase "digital customer co-op" seemed to help frame it better. I don't know if your platform co-op has a multi-stakeholder model or not, and if so, you can (possibly) introduce that idea as well, but be ready to explain how multi-stakeholder governance works in a 30 second elevator speech π | 12:03:09 |
