Also, we find this word “rational” more in early discourse then the modern. It was once a refreshing break from mysticism and superficial presumption.
I take this to mean the effort to pursue measured and empirically validated ideas.
Misinformation and cognitive bias are our modern impediments. We are easily fooled, we believe what we want to be true.
Truth is not constrained by the horizon of our ignorance. If you cannot accept truths which defy presumption, you are in danger of being a hypocrite.
It is an impediment to believe truth must suit our tastes. That we must find them agreeable, that they must serve our own interests.
If you were confronted by Truth, are you sure you would recognize it? Or would your perception be clouded by expectation?
It is not that Truth is hard to find, it is that undeceiving the self is difficult. We could only be fooled when we are cynical
Why is cynical a gift?
Ignorance? | 02:33:28 |

Ignorance? Why so only?
I find Man is born fool, lives his entire life a fool, and dies a fool. It is a determination that it be otherwise in between which may make it so. | 07:16:21 |

I find Man is born fool, lives his entire life a fool, and dies a fool. It is a determination that it be otherwise in between which may make it so. Man is always a fool we go of opinions nothing else and we destroy our selves. I just recently destroyed myself and I am trapped in the past where many may have moved on from. People are trapped in am endless cycle that they continue blindly without reason or even with reason it makes no sense to other's so the person is isolated in the end. | 08:48:51 |

@inphovore:matrix.org | I would like to share this gem I found on YouTube (audiobook). I was looking for a piece by Boethius of similar title and found this instead.

- death of Socrates (best account ever)
- Epicurus
- Montaigne
- Nietzsche
- Smattering of others
These are refreshing details on the lives and men, not dusty rehashing of familiar works. | 14:33:04 |
