We recently updated kava's bip44 coin type (it's used for generating priv keys from mnemonics).
If you're developing a wallet we'd be really grateful if you could upgrade to support it.
Ideally all new users to kava should be using keys derived from a mnemonic using a bip44 path containing the new coin type. We've updated kvcli to default to the new coin type.

Please update your mainnet validator nodes to v0.3.5.
A new version of kava has been released to account for the recent cosmos security advisory "lavender". The new version is backwards compatible with the current version.
Example update steps:
- fetch the latest update
- (change into your kava folder, ie
cd ~/kava)
- git fetch --all --tags
- git checkout v0.3.5
- stop your validator
- install the update
- start your validator again

 Kevin | Kava | Hello everyone. We're working with a lot of developers, partners, and 3rd party teams these days and we felt it would be good to be a bit more collaborative and transparent. We have been using Riot Chat, but the non-technical find it troublesome to use and find it hard see what is actually going on. Recently Cosmos switched over to Discord and many of our partners have moved there as well.
For these reasons, we are starting a Kava discord server focused on serving our ecosystem partners doing integrations, having technical discussions, having governance discussions, etc.
