@ippep_peppi:matrix.orgippep_peppi hi there i started looking into vl.fuse an i noticed that basically every help file shows errors. such as "explanation basic workflow". in takuma nakatas graphics tutorial 014 the same patch works fine. am i missing something? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6xAN5PbgCg&ab_channel=TakumaNakata19:21:03

@bj-rn:matrix.orgbj-rn

Hey, I played around with one of the patches of tebjan 's VL.Benchmarks. After the patch is running for a short amount of time I regularly get frame drops every ~ 3 -5 seconds. GPU load is at 19% and CPU is at 2%.

Checking the profiler the drops seem to coincide with Gen1 garbage collections.
I have removed the custom shaders, the patch is now "pure Fuse".
Using 6.7-0181 and Fuse 1.0.3-beta06. Any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it?

@tebjan:matrix.orgtebjanUnfortunately the fuse box geometry shader doesn't work properly. It isn't correct with depth and shadows... But the custom shader wasn't the issue, if I understand correctly?09:27:27
@bj-rn:matrix.orgbj-rnYes I removed it to rule it out.09:34:30

@bj-rn:matrix.orgbj-rnYes looks like it. I meant the Stride Profiler (F3).10:48:50
@texone:matrix.orgtexoneWhen I remove it and render with the Renderpipeline I see no drops10:48:50

@bj-rn:matrix.orgbj-rn Mh, I see. tebjan any idea? 10:52:41
@bj-rn:matrix.orgbj-rnOk setting Force to false makes it go away. But idk why it was set to true...11:20:26
@bj-rn:matrix.orgbj-rn * Ok setting Force to false makes it go away. But idk if there was a reason to set it to true. 11:20:47
@texone:matrix.orgtexoneah yes my bad11:21:13
@bj-rn:matrix.orgbj-rnShould I make a PR for that?11:23:27
