Hey brother, can I message you please?
I don't discuss AM issues on PM because it doesn't help others.

Unfortunately, I have a busy schedule at this time. I can at best review and comment on the project, features or code, but only during the holidays in December.

@shuvashish76:matrix.org§F-Droid is the first third-party app store to support Android 15's app archiving feature https://www.androidauthority.com/f-droid-app-archiving-3491158/19:52:12
@shuvashish76:matrix.org§

Archiving an app lets you reclaim storage space by deleting the app’s installation files without deleting its user data, but Android won’t even let you archive the app unless the app store that installed it in the first place can restore it. Android 15 makes it possible for third-party app stores to support app archiving, and F-Droid appears to be the first one to take advantage of this new capability.

All F-Droid had to do to support the feature was add code to handle the intent that Android 15 sends out when you tap on an archived app’s icon; this intent asks the app installer of record (in this case, F-Droid) to restore the app.

With version 1.22, F-Droid will be able to handle this intent and thus restore apps that you archive in Android 15. Even though F-Droid primarily distributes apps in the APK format, that shouldn’t pose a problem as Android 15’s app archiving feature works with all Android app formats.

@shuvashish76:matrix.org§https://t.me/AppManagerChannel/233 Isn't it same as "Disable"?19:53:20

I haven't looked into the details. But AFAIK, when an app is archived, it's data and signatures are preserved and the APK files are deleted (just like uninstalling an app without clearing it's data). So, the store actually need to redownload the APK files.

You can install as many ADB clients as you want.

I don't see any difference.
17:14:24
@obersuppenruehrer:matrix.orgobersuppenruehrer* I don't see any difference. My fone is not really new, though. I really don't know what fone to buy next. Not one has all the features that my current one has, and that I have really become very dependent on.17:19:20

I don't see any difference.
I used a Xioami phone with Lineage OS for five years and now switched to Pixel. Not much different in terms of functionality as they both follow AOSP. However, I did find some differences in terms of features. Lineage OS is very much the vanilla AOSP, and full of nice features compared to Pixel where many features are removed, not to mention the Google's bloatware. Can't wait to install Graphene OS on this.

@obersuppenruehrer:matrix.orgobersuppenruehrerI have become completely Stylus/S-Pen dependent after 4 Samsung Galaxy Notes in a row. (I am a large person with clumsy large fingers.) I will probably end up with S24 or S25 Ultra depending how long I keep postponing it. I also have always used microSD cards to carry my music (and ebooks) with me because using cloud storage is very expensive to use here and streaming services all don't have most of my music. But even Samsung Ultras don't have microSD slots anymore.... difficult situation:)00:45:23
