| phesch | Hi, I've been having some trouble with the reconnection logic in the bridge (/in telethon, I guess): When my server has a connection outage, telethon's reconnection attempts kick in (visible in the logs), but it gives up after the maximum retry count, which is after less than a minute. If the outage lasts longer than that, the bridge goes completely silent and doesn't bridge any messages from Telegram even after the outage ends. I can wake it up by "poking" it in any way (a ping in the admin channel, a message from Matrix), after which it backfills all of the missed messages. I'm not sure how this would be best addressed — maybe some kind of watchdog that occasionally tries to reconnect/ping regardless of connection status? | 17:31:44 |
