@olmari:hacklab.fiSami OlmariSorry for stoopid questions, but first time need for me and researching beforehand: is it possible to bridge "new" telegram.. uhm.. "subchannels"? I'd expect same way as any, dig up chat ID, invite bot on sides, so on...21:29:04
@olmari:hacklab.fiSami Olmari+? 21:54:45
@olmari:hacklab.fiSami Olmarihttps://github.com/mautrix/telegram/issues/865 apparently not22:05:12
@olmari:hacklab.fiSami OlmariAny idea what would happen if I bridge the whatever chat ID the telegram room has?22:07:48
@olmari:hacklab.fiSami Olmarianyone tested? :D22:07:57

@wencai:matrix.orgSati ζ•θˆœNot hosting the bridge my own server, but plan to sync telegram and matrix, hosted on matrix.org, accessed via schildi.chat. 14:31:31
@wencai:matrix.orgSati ζ•θˆœHow should I go about with this? 14:31:51

@tulir:maunium.nettuliryes, the sentences after that explain the alternative14:33:57
@wencai:matrix.orgSati ζ•θˆœAh... I was looking at the one for element.io - schildi was a fork of the element project. They offered the bot only on their subscription scheme. 14:38:08
@tulir:maunium.nettulirschildichat is a client, nothing to do with server-side things like bridges14:38:26
@tulir:maunium.nettulirelement clients also aren't directly linked to EMS (which is a hosting provider), they're just different products made by the same companyt14:38:58

@github:maunium.netGitHub [mautrix/telegram] hellcp commented on issue #424: No bot bridging M->T after network outage:

I found out that it was enough to remove all the contents of telethon_sessions table, the bot reauthenticated and it works fine now.

@olmari:hacklab.fiSami Olmari

https://github.com/mautrix/telegram/issues/865 apparently not

According to this, if I bridge TG chat that has "topics" into matrix room, peoples in matrix side will still get everything said, just no "context" of under what topic anything is said, am I reading that right?

19:31:40
@olmari:hacklab.fiSami Olmariand in that way stuff works and nothing breaks catastrophically19:32:13
