diz#1680 | also PETG has relatively low creep under load, i think | 20:50:07 |
diz#1680 | PET definitely does, plastic carbonated beverage bottles are under constant pressure and don't swell noticeably | 20:50:53 |
diz#1680 | also, i haven't myself used carbon fiber filaments but from seeing various comparisons on youtube, they got very bad mechanical properties all around (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pPN8xNaJPc for example) | 20:54:00 |

dashlambda | The surface finish on CFPETG though is amazing
Barely even looks printed | 21:01:48 |
john04291 | No, I'm using my Bambu completely offline in LAN mode (you can also use just SD card without any networking) and I just got my second Bambu printer today! | 22:09:39 |

caorunn | Here's some progress on a part of a costume I'm designing in build123d. This uses a lot of projection to get the indents and the raised wedge on the surface. It's been a bit of a challenge fighting with some limitations in OCCT but I'm happy with the results. I suppose I could have painted the lines on the surface and saved a lot of work but that would be cheating 😀 | 04:17:21 |
felix.haeberle | That looks nice. I am eager to see the printed results! | 09:17:54 |

barnaby | I decided to try using gridfinity baseplates for organising, structuring and easily storing electronics projects. started by making plates to hold a nucleo 64 and a breadboard, using the left over space for a little storage tray. I used ruudjhuu’s b3d gridfinity library to generate the gf-specific geometry | 16:36:44 |
