Vukas Pajic | but not for tasks | 13:11:00 |
Vukas Pajic | other than defining it as a concept, you cant really do anything with it | 13:11:21 |
Vukas Pajic | you cant define dependencies between occurences and other tasks for example | 13:11:46 |
Vukas Pajic | thanks for answering Moult . For anyone interested, I asked the question on LinkedIn as well: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/vukaspajic_85310-ifctasktimerecurring-activity-7188161325301174275-4Nqw?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop | 13:20:55 |

bruno_perdigao | Is anyone here using an alternative to Blender Launcher? It seems that the project is no longer maintained. | 02:03:09 |

stealthmasterflex | HI there! Question about drawing. I'm currently working in a project where all ther materia is in format 2X3. When I try to create a sheet i get this error "Python: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\bim\module\drawing\operator.py", line 76, in execute IfcStore.execute_ifc_operator(self, context) File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\bim\ifc.py", line 349, in execute_ifc_operator result = getattr(operator, "_execute")(context) File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\bim\module\drawing\operator.py", line 1192, in execute core.add_sheet(tool.Ifc, tool.Drawing, titleblock=context.scene.DocProperties.titleblock) File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\core\drawing.py", line 80, in add_sheet ifc.run( File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\tool\ifc.py", line 34, in run return ifcopenshell.api.run(command, IfcStore.get_file(), **kwargs) File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\libs\site\packages\ifcopenshell\api_init.py", line 172, in run result = usecase_class(ifc_file, **settings).execute() File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\libs\site\packages\ifcopenshell\api\document\edit_reference.py", line 52, in execute setattr(self.settings["reference"], name, value) File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\libs\site\packages\ifcopenshell\entity_instance.py", line 279, in setattr self[index] = value File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\libs\site\packages\ifcopenshell\entity_instance.py", line 288, in setitem self.wrapped_data.file.transaction.store_edit(self, idx, value) File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\libs\site\packages\ifcopenshell\file.py", line 101, in store_edit "old": self.serialise_value(element, element[index]), File "C:\Users\JoonasSaaranen\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\3.6\scripts\addons\blenderbim\libs\site\packages\ifcopenshell\entity_instance.py", line 283, in getitem raise IndexError("Attribute index {} out of range for instance of type {}".format(key, self.is_a())) IndexError: Attribute index 4294967295 out of range for instance of type IfcDocumentReference" any ideas why? Works fine in in Ifc 4 | 06:59:11 |
@velochad:matrix.org | In reply to @stealthmasterflex:matrix.orgtraceback errors like this are usually caused by editing some attribute of an element in your property browser without properly saving your changes, try going back, deleting, and recreating some recent elements. currently there's no easy way in BlenderBIM to lint an error like this and point out where exactly the problem is in your model | 13:57:35 |
@velochad:matrix.org | someone in here might have a way to do that using a python script | 13:57:59 |

@velochad:matrix.org | In reply to @gnuion:matrix.orgI'd be very interested in following your progress on this. IfcOpenShell is great for handling high level API tasks for plugins and applications you want to reference IFC data in. While that's very powerful, IFC is just a format of data exchange. I don't think the bigger features you're talking about like the scalability that you'll find in a programming language are within the scope right now. We need to walk before we can run. | 14:15:20 |
stealthmasterflex | In reply to @velochad:matrix.orgI tried this with a single cube and I get the same error when I use 2X3 but in IFC 4 works fine. | 14:17:53 |
@velochad:matrix.org | In reply to @stealthmasterflex:matrix.orgyeah, I see what you mean. I was able to recreate this error too | 14:25:53 |
theoryshaw | stealthmasterflex: @velochad:matrix.org probably worth creating an issue on github | 18:32:39 |

@velochad:matrix.org | In reply to @theoryshaw:matrix.orgwasn't sure if this was a bug yet, wanted to confirm if there wasn't a work around (so far there isn't) | 18:46:48 |
theoryshaw | seems like a bug to me too. | 18:47:39 |
@velochad:matrix.org | I can open an issue on github | 18:48:42 |

Vukas Pajic | good morning from vienna! | 05:58:12 |
Vukas Pajic | Can I just take the moment to say "whooaa, thanks mate" to Moult for this clear explanation of colour: https://community.osarch.org/discussion/comment/13744/#Comment_13744 | 05:59:00 |
Vukas Pajic | I'd recently been delving into this myself and trying to figure it out directly from the ifc docs ( that wasn't a very fun experience ) | 05:59:54 |
Vukas Pajic | so on behalf of all the other squires , thank you lord (Fallout joke) 🙏 | 06:00:39 |
kaspermiller_buildingsmart joined the room. | 06:01:55 | |
Ole Marius Svendsen | Morning. I would like to ask if the code from github themself has changes as the latest update list on BlenderBim webpage seems to not update itself. I love to sometimes see if there is a specific change to a daily build to update to it if need may be. :) (https://blenderbim.org/community.html) | 06:22:03 |
Vukas Pajic | In reply to @ole.marius.svendsen:matrix.orgyou can always find the latest daily build on github | 06:27:26 |
Vukas Pajic | or you can fork the entire repo and inspect the changes in detail | 06:27:54 |
