@thefrenchghosty:privacytools.ioTheFrenchGhostyI never saw any point in it honestly12:17:49
@perflyst:snopyta.orgperflystipv4 will be dead at some point 12:18:09
@thefrenchghosty:privacytools.ioTheFrenchGhostyAnd since my previous VPN didn't support it, I just got used to disabling it12:18:16

People are saying that since a least 10 years, I'm still waiting for it 🙃
12:19:18
@perflyst:snopyta.orgperflystthere are the first ipv6 only servers there are the first ipv6 only connections (or dslite variants where you share an ipv4 address)12:20:22
@thefrenchghosty:privacytools.ioTheFrenchGhostyI didn't know that, I guess I will start using it on my servers now (when I get one)12:21:58
@perflyst:snopyta.orgperflystand you are right there are not much vpn providers which support ipv6, because as an end user you dont need it (yet)12:22:39
@thefrenchghosty:privacytools.ioTheFrenchGhostySo I guess, useful on servers now, mandatory on clients/servers "soon" 12:23:58
@perflyst:snopyta.orgperflystyes but as i said above, with this shared ipv4, if you host a server at home you dont have any incoming ipv4 address because your outgoing ipv4 address is shared12:25:17
@perflyst:snopyta.orgperflystand that is not very uncommon, the "normal" end user just does not notice it12:25:54
@thefrenchghosty:privacytools.ioTheFrenchGhostyipv4 really need to be replaced completely12:26:40
@thefrenchghosty:privacytools.ioTheFrenchGhosty * ipv4 really needs to be replaced completely12:26:51

30% ouch
12:29:03
@thefrenchghosty:privacytools.ioTheFrenchGhostyThe per-country graph is interesting, it shows that countries with a "new" network (india/germany...) support ipv6 more than countries using an "old" network... I guess that's why ipv6 adoption is so slow, most countries are still using decades old network... It also means that their next network will support ipv6... but their next network will takes years to come12:33:51
@thefrenchghosty:privacytools.ioTheFrenchGhostyipv6 is a mess12:33:59
