@alexm:gnome.orgAlex (they/them) Brage: they are just trolling* both now and basically for the entire time of them being in this room 21:02:49
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixWhat I do or don't have to visualize is part of my UX.21:02:54
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixAlex, you have yet to cite anything you claimed. Not one thing.21:03:05
@alexm:gnome.orgAlex (they/them)you might want to check out this thing: https://kde.org/21:03:12
@alexm:gnome.orgAlex (they/them)I heard it has more options than gnome21:03:19
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixI never claimed I wanted more options.21:03:39

I love how you basically ignore me quoting you, but I didn't expect anything else

also pigs fly
21:04:03
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixI addressed it already. You have yet to address a feature.21:04:11
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixNot one.21:04:13

What I do or don't have to visualize is part of my UX.
ok, I'll quote you one more time
21:04:22
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixThe burden of proof is on the one who makes the claim.21:04:27
@alexm:gnome.orgAlex (they/them)

I never claimed I wanted more options.

What I do or don't have to visualize is part of my UX.

21:04:33
@alexm:gnome.orgAlex (they/them)do better, it's not even funny21:04:37
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixIs that not UX?21:05:06
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixWhat does that have to do with asking for options?21:05:25
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixI never asked Gnome or anyone else to do this or make any accommodations for a new feature.21:05:50
@alexm:gnome.orgAlex (they/them)you asked for an option to have this preference or not and are now saying you didn't21:05:50
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixFor colorblindness? I didn't ask that.21:06:12
@alexm:gnome.orgAlex (they/them)nobody was asking you in the first place21:06:31
@wontfix:matrix.orgwontfixI didn't ask any designer to allow or not a preference for the feature to exist.21:06:37

Meh, I really want to have filters for colorblind people in the settings, but not enough support. I created a issue https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-control-center/-/issues/2416 And also I want to contact the developer of this extension, but I don't know how. Maybe he could implement this in GNOME, since he has experience with these color filters https://github.com/G-dH/gnome-colorblind-filters
(I hope something useful comes out of this nonetheless)

@kepstin:kepstin.cakepstinit's kind of interesting that (in gnome 43) all the settings in the accessibility panel which have complex configuration open a new window rather than sliding over a sub-panel.21:18:35
@kepstin:kepstin.cakepstinI suppose that's more likely to be due to limited developers working on the gnome-control-panel gtk4 port rather than a specific design decision?21:19:06
@bragefuglseth:matrix.orgBrageI suppose so21:19:44
@kepstin:kepstin.cakepstinopening a panel to configure the color filter used and preview its effects sounds great, but it seems like it would also be good to have a quick toggle on/off that remembers the last used setting.21:20:19
@bragefuglseth:matrix.orgBrageThe dialogs don’t seem to be utilizing new patterns21:20:21

The main thing is to have support, and to have it in the plans
