yogthos | we have some fairly complex kubernetes deploy scripts, and being able to write them in clojure is pretty fantastic | 21:47:11 |
yogthos | oh and we should publish http to npm as well | 21:47:26 |
richiardiandrea | yep, I think I can do that, maybe I can't publish on clojars...my name on clojars should be arichiardi if you want to add me 😉 | 21:49:09 |
yogthos | oh yeah sure thing | 21:49:40 |
yogthos | ok you should be good to go | 21:50:29 |
richiardiandrea | Did you find that cuerdas is better - meaning, should we strive for including something like xregexp in `macchiato/http`? (I took it out for now to keep it simple) | 22:54:37 |
richiardiandrea | oh man, @macchiato on npm seems taken | 23:02:02 |
richiardiandrea | deployed on clojars | 23:02:07 |
richiardiandrea | what about macchiato-cljs ? | 23:03:38 |
richiardiandrea | Circle is circling, all good 😉 | 23:09:43 |
richiardiandrea | only npm deployment is missing, looking for confirming the name | 23:09:59 |

yogthos | richiardiandrea fantastic 🎉 could you also update the macchiato-core library to use macchiato-http as a dependency before we forget about it 🙂 | 03:43:14 |
yogthos | might be worth a blog post as well, would be great to show how it works with lumo | 03:44:09 |
richiardiandrea | Yeah my only "concern" is cuerdas - I got rid of it in http so if core uses it some behavior might change...there are only `split`s and `replace`s but still... | 03:50:37 |
yogthos | I think that should be fine, and the scope of usage in http is pretty small, and we have tests | 12:20:16 |
richiardiandrea | Ok ported cuerdas to self-host today so we can include that if it gets accepted and merged | 19:25:08 |

andrea.imparato | hello everyone! quick question, is macchiato mature enough to be used in production? | 15:41:57 |
yogthos | yup, my team is using it for some services currently, and I've talked to a few other companies who use it | 16:24:41 |
andrea.imparato | are you using it in a self hosted server or in serverless environment? yogthos | 19:38:21 |
yogthos | my team is using it on a self hosted kubernetes cluster | 19:56:57 |

justinmcp | anyone know of an example/tutorial/base project that serves a reagent app out of macchiato? | 02:37:37 |
nenadalm | You can use template with +browser profile https://github.com/macchiato-framework/macchiato-template#profiles.
It doesn't serve reagent app and the only thing that the js app does is printing into console: https://github.com/macchiato-framework/macchiato-template/blob/master/resources/leiningen/new/macchiato/src/browser/app.cljs#L5
but you can put reagent code into that js file. | 08:37:08 |
justinmcp | Thanks! That should get me started | 12:24:15 |

sova | I have a suggestion. Please add a default index.html with a javascript embed (cljs ) by default so that when i start a new macchiato app i can start playing in rum right away. | 13:16:28 |
