Danny Colin | Right. Facebook container uses the same mechanism and is only an addon preconfigured. | 23:30:35 |
Danny Colin | In reply to @the-only-user:beeper.comYou can also do this. It's more clicks tho so it depends what you prefer. | 23:31:13 |

Danny Colin | In reply to @the-only-user:beeper.comAFAIK, there's nothing on the roadmap for containers on Android. If it changes, we'll update the status of https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/multi-account-containers-for-android/idi-p/5564 | 23:34:44 |

hwine [he/him] | Hi everyone! Not sure this is the right place... I'm working for Meta on the new meta.ai website. We got a lot of reports on our side that the site shows a blank page in Firefox. I tried reaching out to contributors and containers@mozilla.com without success. Is there anyone that can merge the PR to add the meta.ai domain in contain facebook repo https://github.com/mozilla/contain-facebook/pull/963 ? The domain was also added in disconnectme repo (https://github.com/disconnectme/disconnect-tracking-protection/commit/54618bd60a78d21118810533856be80f933b9f27) but wasn't fast tracked in Firefox (which it should based on https://github.com/mozilla-services/shavar-prod-lists) | 14:10:22 |
hwine [he/him] | Well, that ^ didn't work like I hoped -- that's this message from #github-admin:mozilla.org | 14:12:24 |
hwine [he/him] | Danny Colin: Also note that the CONTRIBUTING.md references the old irc channel, and needs updating | 14:14:36 |
Danny Colin | hwine [he/him]: I don't really work on contain-facebook but I relayed your message internally 😉 | 14:17:12 |

the-only-user | Using firefox in safe mode, and printables.com still refuses to load | 02:45:54 |
the-only-user | any ideas as to why? | 02:45:58 |
the-only-user | it works fine in private windows | 02:46:20 |
the-only-user | i also manually completely disabled all extensions | 02:47:37 |
the-only-user | resetting firefox seemed to fix it | 11:32:31 |
the-only-user | I had already cleared my cache and cookies for Printables but /shrug | 11:32:50 |
the-only-user | ¯⧵_(ツ)_/¯ ah | 11:32:57 |
the-only-user | oh wait | 11:33:02 |

the-only-user | When I open an email attachment to be downloaded in GMail, Firefox always asks me if I want to open it in a container tab. This is extremely annoying. Is there a way to force specific tabs opened from a container tab to open without that prompt occurring? | 21:42:08 |
the-only-user | This is fine for other websites, but it is particularly annoying for email | 21:42:21 |
the-only-user | also, upon tab closing and reopening, is there any way to make firefox remember what the original container was and skip the prompt? it always asks me "would you like to open this tab in your current container or in the assigned container?" (this is because i have an assigned container for an email that I check the most, so I usually just manually open a different email in a different container | 21:51:10 |
the-only-user | i guess what I want is much more granular control over the tabs | 21:51:18 |
Danny Colin | If you use the same domain name (e.g. gmail.com) in two different containers, there are two possible scenarios:
| 23:15:16 |
Danny Colin | You probably want #2 if you want to avoid the prompt. | 23:17:18 |
Danny Colin | Here's the support article to (un)assign a website https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/containers#w_manage-site-assignments | 23:18:05 |
the-only-user | thanks! | 23:18:14 |

mops | Here with another round of lost containers. This is a multi device setup using firefox sync. On the affected mac I use Firefox stable and nightly. Currently both show the default containers. On another mac I still see all my custom containers as expected. I don't think the containers are lost, but I don't know how to get them back. Well, and I just lost them on the other mac as well, where Firefox got updated to version 126. I tried disabling and re-enabling sync and now ended up with the 4 default containers. Should I file an issue and if yes, how can I provide useful information so that this can be prevented in the future? | 07:49:30 |
