jean.rintoul | Wasnt aware of an after thing | 12:05:37 |
jean.rintoul | after seeing the openmri outside the exhibition, i saw magspec which is a tiny educational portable MRI | 14:59:27 |

eslam.elmohamdy308 | Hey 5M5PLH9S I hope you are fine
i noticed that when using the c code at tomtom (raspberry pi) , I was testing the pulses (on , off) come out from it, at gpio 23 , 24
But what actually happened that pin 24 has 3.3 volt and pin 23 has zero volt , there is no pulses in 5us !
Any help π ? | 10:42:21 |
kelu | Hi! Can you help me with pointing to the code, and a screen grab of the gpios? | 14:09:05 |
eslam.elmohamdy308 | https://github.com/kelu124/echomods/blob/master/elmo/standard_driver.c | 14:41:02 |
eslam.elmohamdy308 | I downloaded the standalone sd card and run code using this comand. /run.sh. | 14:42:53 |
eslam.elmohamdy308 | Unfortunately I don't have logic Analyzer | 14:43:14 |
kelu | Noted. Anything help me to be less blind :) any output from the command? How do you see the pulses happening or not? | 16:31:12 |
kelu | Greetings from the evening :) | 16:32:07 |
| ahmadhafez676 joined the room. | 17:21:55 |
ahmadhafez676 | Hey ππ
I am working with eslam on same project
The pulses is not happening actually ,there is only 3.3 volt on gpio 24 but no pulses | 17:21:55 |
eslam.elmohamdy308 | 5M5PLH9S output of comand | 17:25:06 |

kelu | Hi Hafez, thanks for joining in. It is very difficult to troubleshoot if there are no details to help me troubleshoot.
How are you checking the presence of pulses at gpios ? If oscilloscope, do you have a screen grab | 17:27:13 |
kelu | Noted. What is run.sh supposed to do? | 17:29:24 |
kelu | If I read the doc, run.sh is installing the driver, isn't it? | 17:31:39 |
kelu | But to trigger the capture is not with run.sh but with the command below | 17:32:13 |
ahmadhafez676 | I use multimeter and also oscilloscope to plot the signal then i had a dc signal with amplitude 3.3 with no pulses at all when i plot it
I will give you a screen when i test it again | 17:37:27 |
ahmadhafez676 | I want to assure the presence of pulses from raspberry to test the pulser module | 17:39:18 |
ahmadhafez676 | Oh i got it , i think the command cat /dev/hsd>myfilename.dat is use only for generate the data file , not for trigger the gpio
I will test the gpio after writing the command , and give u feedback π | 17:47:52 |
kelu | Precisely. Run.sh loads the module, but does not trigger the acquisition. The cat does | 17:58:31 |
kelu | If you have a look at the module code, the gpio trig when the hsdk virtual device is read | 17:59:23 |
ahmadhafez676 | Oh i got it π
I will try it | 18:07:29 |
kelu | π | 18:34:00 |
kelu | Please also include as much detail as possible when asking a question, without details and context a "it does not work" is not easy to answer haha | 19:00:06 |
ahmadhafez676 | Ok next time i promise π | 19:21:23 |
