@_slack_usdevkit_U04NSDWEL3H:matrix.orgpeng.montreal Hi channel, i’m a data people and recently get interested in ultrasound. Even though, i have no background in hardware or even physics. but i’m really interested in building some ultrasound based fruit CT scanning alike device. and i did a little bit of research, it appears the computation is considered as the major blocker? addressing computational issue is one of the things i like. wondering if i can get some help on bootstrap the project. like what kind of hardware/programming platform i need to collect data and gets my hand dirty. In the first version, i’ll probably aiming at a 360 degree data collecting device and then offload the computation to my cloud GPU clusters and see if can i indeed compute the texture of my apple. 01:23:03
@_slack_usdevkit_U04NSDWEL3H:matrix.orgpeng.montreal Thank you in advance! Or if i’m lucky, some of you already have a similar purpose device, then can you help me collect the data? So i can focus on just doing the reconstruction bit. 01:24:48
@_slack_usdevkit_U5M5PLH9S:matrix.orgkelu Hi 04NSDWEL3H - and welcome 😃 Are you talking of tomography-like imaging ? I did something like this at http://un0rick.cc/UseCase/tomo -- the source is around https://github.com/kelu124/echomods/blob/master/include/experiments/auto/20200418a.md 15:34:04

@_slack_usdevkit_U04NSDWEL3H:matrix.orgpeng.montreal Thank you and yes! this is very impressive! Let me take a deep look at this, this is almost exactly what i need! 08:12:02

@_slack_usdevkit_U053A1XAJ8G:matrix.orgsterlingbiz2021 Hey 5M5PLH9S this is me, Sterling, lost access to my old e-mail when i changed work domains, i'm doing some ultrasound work currently, exploring ultrasound and its bioeffects on enzymes, more to study the effects that ultrasound stimulation has on the body, particularly in peripheral nerves, such as the vagus nerve. We are seeing some absolutely, hands-down, amazing applications in human studies already, but the mechanism is still elusive, and my analysis is tending towards enzymatic modification. So, currently workin on a bit of a bench top enzyme assay that uses ultrasound to stimulate samples. I may post some circuits, etc, hopefully my designs can help alongside the unorick. I'm using a really neat HV7351 microchip 8ch pulser that takes SPI inputs, and is very easy to use, no verilog or hdl code is needed to generate really complex waveforms, and i need to test a lot of different ultrasound frequencies. So yeah, great to get back into this slack, hope all are well! 01:48:17

@_slack_usdevkit_UGJ8GJGNR:matrix.orgjean.rintoul Hello, have you seen this recent article on mechanosensitive ion channels? https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-022-28040-1 13:00:38
22 Apr 2023
@_slack_usdevkit_UGJ8GJGNR:matrix.orgjean.rintoul It suggests ultrasound neuromodulation is due to mechanosensitive ion channels 08:04:52

@_slack_usdevkit_U04B7GV4KPV:matrix.orgqmzs12345 Hello channel, inspired by Kelu's works, I has been doing and exploring the ultrasound image device related information and theories for several months. And I has designed the control circuit (though still struggling with the components layout ) , and I'm doing some works on RF-data and Piezo-material in my professor's lab. As I majored in mechanical engineering, thus it's what a tough task to keep it going quickly on my own. And if anyone were a undergraduate like me or interested in my project , I'm so so so excited to work with you😉 15:53:02
@_slack_usdevkit_U04B7GV4KPV:matrix.orgqmzs12345 This is my email qmzs12345@gmail.com and project's page(https://github.com/Qmz432/Ultrasound-imaging-device) , and thanks for Kelu's emoji 15:53:08
