@hobbitus:matrix.orghobbitusYes I did use the same image, I'm trying to get the same OS - Manjaro to work 😉21:03:18
@hobbitus:matrix.orghobbitusyes, at first I didn't realised, but it make sense 21:03:44
@strit:matrix.org@strit:matrix.org Switch in extlinux.conf to use root=/dev/<device> instead of root=PARTUUID=<PARTUUID>. 21:04:32

@hobbitus:matrix.orghobbitus I already changed all UUID as well as PARTUUID, not just I didn't consider to use root=/dev/<device/partition>but it helps with mount as well 21:07:38

@thwright:matrix.orgT. H. WrightWhile trying to charge my OG PP that appeared to have a drained battery, I've noticed that it does not appear to be charging at all. Instead the LED is flashing yellow. Does this have a meaning in Manjaro's use of the LED or is it the phone receiving just enough power and losing it again, perhaps like the earlier boot issue the OG PP had due to a completely drained battery?02:26:48
@skquinn:matrix.org@skquinn:matrix.orgcould be, do these things have removable batteries?02:43:06
@skquinn:matrix.org@skquinn:matrix.orgyou could try charging it externally just to be sure02:43:14
@thwright:matrix.orgT. H. WrightThat thought occurred to me, too. It fails to boot; I'm guessing something happened to my install or corrupted it; not sure. I'll probably try flashing a new install soon.03:11:04

I have experienced previously that if the battery is completely drained, that it can take 10+ hours of charging until it gets to a bootable state again.

@thwright:matrix.orgT. H. WrightFlashed a new SD card, still not booting, battery or not. 😬13:23:14
@strit:matrix.org@strit:matrix.orgIt needs a battery to function, I believe.13:24:18
@pak0st:matrix.org@pak0st:matrix.orgdepends on what's used to provide power without a battery - my PP boots fine when using usb3 from pc but goes bootlooping when operating just from my Steam Deck power supply13:29:09

Should just be the modem to power on; it can power on without it but it won't have wwan access

Any suggestions for further troubleshooting this one on my OG PP? https://forum.manjaro.org/t/og-pinephone-wont-boot/118412

It appears to boot loop here:

@alaraajavamma:urheiluaki.fi@alaraajavamma:urheiluaki.fiHi! I am testing phosh-next from community repo and have to say wow, this feels superb. I know that this is alpha/not-ready/testing release but I think it actually works better than current betas 😁.10:48:14
@alaraajavamma:urheiluaki.fi@alaraajavamma:urheiluaki.fiThere are some minor issues but my question is that is phosh-next there just for fun or is it the direction where Phosh is going? Just thinking that is it worth to debug those issues10:50:21
