 genghiskombat | I mean, now that you mention it, yeah, that was definitely weird about it, in hindsight. Vitality's gotta be the one hack I've played where it simultaneously demands you hell run and punishes you for doing it in the wrong place, but doesn't do much to make it clear where to go during said hell run. Like sure, once you piece together that the rooms with infinitely respawning Geemers are there to mark the start and end points, it helps, but even then, the path-marking techniques in the interim are tragically lacking.
That's one of the dangers of trying to opt for the "yo holy crap, look at what they did here" environmental design approach: you can get so wrapped up in making things look pretty that you forget the gameplay angle. | 18:51:57 |

In that room is a save station but you can't go back so if you keep going you end up at an acid pit in which if you drop in, you cannot even space jump back out. I powered bombed the hell out of that place and I swear there is no exit and if there is some condition to be fulfilled I haven't found it lol.
