even you can control current
Only a cutout typically
13:43:11
@rd2:matrix.orgrd24s1p is 12.8V nominal this is better13:44:45
@rd2:matrix.orgrd2I like lfp pouches because they utilize space better but I could not find a pack of 12.8V 20A with good mechanical and bms protection13:46:24
@danielp3344:matrix.orgDanielWhat chemistry?13:46:27
@rd2:matrix.orgrd2lfp13:46:41
@danielp3344:matrix.orgDanielLiFePo4?13:46:58
@rd2:matrix.orgrd2yes13:47:03
@danielp3344:matrix.orgDanielAh ok13:47:34
@rd2:matrix.orgrd2I guess I am getting close every day. thank you for your support13:48:21
@rd2:matrix.orgrd2 * I guess I am getting closer every day. thank you for your support13:48:33
@danielp3344:matrix.orgDanielSo 12.8-12.0v gets you 10%13:49:45
@danielp3344:matrix.orgDanielYou can search something like "lifepo4 voltage charge chart" to get an idea13:50:33

I really think you should just use a buck regulator, they're cheap and efficient and it's how basically all battery powered computers work
13:51:19
@rd2:matrix.orgrd2so these laptop batteries rely on a regulator?13:53:18
@rd2:matrix.orgrd2swapable batteries13:53:44
@danielp3344:matrix.orgDanielYes13:54:05
@rd2:matrix.orgrd2also I have discovered that the fan of mac mini m2 pro do not run until the processor temp pass 100c13:55:01
@danielp3344:matrix.orgDanielWow13:55:16
@rd2:matrix.orgrd2 * also I have discovered that the fan of mac mini m2 pro do not run until the processor temp passes 100c13:55:20
@danielp3344:matrix.orgDanielThat's pretty hot13:55:20
@danielp3344:matrix.orgDanielI forget where I read this but I once heard that something like every 10 degree temp increase on a semiconductor cuts it's life in half13:56:03
@rd2:matrix.orgrd2I wish I can get my hands on this cooling technology but even I do I wonder if I can replace it13:57:36
