Vinny P | Why does the manual download not work anymore? You used to be able to copy the link then use wget/curl/etc to download the apk. Now it just copied the link to the apps playstore page. | 17:26:33 |

Vinny P | Anyone use Obtanium to install AuroraStore Nightly? | 04:36:38 |
Vinny P | Obtanium shows there's an update and if I click to show the source I can see it thinks there's a nightly for 01-16-2025 but if you go to the site that version doesn't exist. | 04:37:46 |

Which site ? Obtainium allow you to choose sites to sear into, and by default it includes github/gitlab which includes the sources and may be the 1st place to distrunute latest versions. | 08:25:33 |
SergYo | * Which site ?
Obtainium allow you to choose sites it should search into.
By default it includes github/gitlab which includes the sources and may be the 1st place to distribute latest versions. So you may get it before it is on the official website / in f-droid. | 08:27:00 |
Vinny P | I used the website the developer provides to add it to Obtanium I didn't do it manually. It's fixed after the 1/17/2025 nightly though. | 21:22:34 |
Vinny P | Looks like it's using https://auroraoss.com/downloads/AuroraStore/Feeds/nightly_feed.json. | 21:23:55 |

Vinny P | Yep, just updated to 1/18/2025 nightly and it worked fine. Must have been a transient issue. | 16:41:48 |

walter.dietrich | does anybody know why the recommended version on fdroid is still 4.6.1?
...is this on purpose (because of some regression or the like) or just something not working correctly at the automatic update/build process? | 09:53:04 |

Please understand | In reply to @walter.dietrich:matrix.org does anybody know why the recommended version via fdroid is still 4.6.1? ...is this on purpose (because of some regression or the like) or just something not working correctly at the automatic update/build process? That's odd, I would guess that maybe the process to mark a release as recommended hasn't been automated yet | 18:33:00 |

walter.dietrich | AFAIK it is automated to always recommend the latest by default and can be set to be N builds behind the latest or set/updated manually to recommend a specific version. | 07:53:04 |

I don't know what triggered a change this time but 4.6.4 is shown as the suggested/recommended version now | 14:40:55 |

walter.dietrich | yes... "suddenly" the latest version is recommended by fdroid. if someone - hopefully with more insight than me - took action, thanks for that. | 09:54:30 |
