@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaThough I suppose those wouldn't be very loud :P21:14:44

@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklasBOX Pinks of course :D the other pinks are irrelevant :p 10:09:54
@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaNice. They are my favourite clicky switches10:13:56
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklasthey are great! I don't have any comparison to other clicky switches besides mx blue tho10:35:17
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklasJust wanted a click bar board for fun and the pink color of the stems was a plus! 10:35:50
@plainoldcheese:matrix.orgplainoldcheeseI'm thinking of getting some mx blues for my next build just because they're normally pretty cheap on banggood. 12:47:23
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklaskailh clickbar switches are cheap too thogh21:19:50
@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaMX Blues have their own charm though I guess. Their hysteresis and single click sound can be desirable :)21:27:32
@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaIn my hunt for which Tactile switch would fit me best I think I've settled on the Zealios/Zilents 65g V2 BTW. The fact that they're sooo smooth, with a clear and drawn out bump, have full travel, and fully transparent housings really wins me over21:28:57
@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaThe Glorious Panda switches are also nice, though the opaque housing is a downer for me as someone who enjoys the customization that RGB backlighting brings.21:29:44
@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaI'm also impressed that I've been able to adapt to the Zealios switches so I can for the most part touch type on them without bottoming out, even with their MASSIVE tactility. With the exception of the BOX Jade and BOX Navy switches they are by far the most tactile switches I've tired.21:31:01
@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaFor long typing sessions I still prefer the BOX Pinks though. They're so nicely weighted, smooth all the way down except for that sudden/sharp tactile click. The Zealios can be a bit of a workout to type on21:31:57
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklaswhy don't you spring swap them then? Or is it the tactile bump?21:46:15
@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaIts the tactile bump. Lighter spring versions (like the Zealios 62g V2) just "hurts more" as you bottom out harder with less dampening. And higher weights like the 67g gets tiring to type on rather quickly for me. Ideally I would like a switch with the quality of the Zealios V2's, but a lower tactile bump, perhaps Glorious Panda sized.21:48:42
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklasAhh okay21:51:35
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklasBtw yeah it surprised me how smooth Box Pinks feel21:52:52
@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaI know right? You'd think the stem design would lead to lots of contact area and friction, but its super smooth :P21:53:23
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklasbut I guess the tactillity of the clickbar hides a lot of any potential scratchyness 21:53:24
@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaEven removing the click bar factor I still think they're super smooth :)21:53:54
@Dezponia:matrix.orgDezponiaI think they're factory lubed though, Either way I like them :)21:54:15
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklasAh that would make sense 21:56:01
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklasI should disassemble one and check 21:56:10
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklasI normally don't want to use factory lubed / unlubed switches but the box pinks feel fine even completely stock21:57:03
@n1kl4s:mozilla.orgNiklasyeah there is lube in there. On the part that connects the activation mechanism in the "box" to the slider, but I'm not sure about the slider rails, if there is lube there at all it would be very thin22:05:41
