pietro_m | Hi everybody! | 13:09:06 |
pietro_m | @renato_perotto:matrix.org: wassup fool! | 13:09:22 |
pietro_m | I've started Uli's class (from his site) and I got some questions/problems
1- I'm a total noob with git. I can (and will) do the legwork myself, but I was wondering if anyone knows a good fool to get me started?
2- after flashing the pi I can access it from my laptop through my network. But all the links within the setting up guide (within the pi itself) give me a "bad gateway". I don't know why... | 13:13:28 |
pietro_m | A good tutorial* | 13:13:57 |
ulno | Howdy, Pietro, welcome, nice to have you here! | 15:34:49 |
ulno | 1, I will dig up a tutorial I have filled away | 15:35:13 |
ulno | 2, what's the up, the pi gives your PC? | 15:35:49 |
ulno | 1, this looks quite ok: https://product.hubspot.com/blog/git-and-github-tutorial-for-beginners | 18:12:52 |
pietro_m | In reply to @ulno:matrix.org 2, what's the up, the pi gives your PC? you mean the IP? I have the pi plugged into my router (it's a pi 1, so no wifi). And my laptop connected through wifi to the same router.
the router gives an ip to the pi, I can see the local web portal page, but some of the links there returns a "502 bad gateway" error

pietro_m | thanks for the tutorial! | 22:08:28 |

neither the "navigational links", nor the "Node-Red" links work. All the other ones do. | 22:10:20 |
ulno | ist it a pi3? | 22:15:12 |
ulno | you connected the pi via Ethernet to your router? | 22:15:18 |
pietro_m | nope, Pi1. Yes, directly to the router. | 22:17:10 |
ulno | to weak | 22:31:31 |
ulno | need at least pi3 | 22:31:39 |
ulno | but you can run some services also on pi1 | 22:32:00 |
ulno | however, it would more sense to run things on an old Linux PC as router if you don't have access to pi3 | 22:32:42 |
pietro_m | Too weak? Poop. Gotta get me one of those then. | 22:36:27 |
pietro_m | What about a 2 year-old android phone? | 22:50:59 |
