19:59:43@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <mars>Yeah, the org is there. I’m nicely surprised:

  • added custom token to Metamask
  • sent to my other address
  • Aragon UI picked up change without any refresh

You use React on the front-end, I know Consensys is supporting Drizzle for real-time updates… Is that a correct guess? Looking at the source: https://github.com/aragon/aragon/blob/master/package.json

(probably something else, listening for changes)

20:14:52@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <mcormier>Glad it worked well! :) Yes we use react but the real-time updates are part of the aragonAPI
https://hack.aragon.org/docs/api-js-quick-start
Each contract method returns an RxJs Observable when called.

00:24:22@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <alex.gedevani>I saw the news about the planned buyback of 3,798,223 ANT. Is there a general time frame for how long the team expects to buy back that amount in? understand market conditions can change
10:55:49@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <JayRudduck>They said it they would buy back progressively and in consideration of current market conditions.
11:08:00@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <JayRudduck>Hey I was trying to find the description of how the ANT token would evolve and no longer be fixed supply but I’m not sure where this is. Probably something written by @lkngtn ? Thx for the help!
15:33:03@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <mcormier>@alex.gedevani @JayRudduck I have no information on this unfortunately, perhaps @light knows a bit more.

01:11:41@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <gabi>The event sounds amazing, if I happens to be on europe on those dates I’ll try to join 🙌
08:45:36@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <jasonBTC>Dear Sir, somebody know that if I want to open a case in court, How many ANJ I will stak for it?
15:01:32@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <mcormier>Hey @jasonBTC, thanks for your interest. From the information that I’ve been given, this detail is not finalized yet. We should have more information about this soon.

06:12:35@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <jorge>Hi @jasonBTC! You will not have to stake ANJ to open a case (‘dispute’, in Aragon Court lingo) as ANJ is only needed by jurors to be selected for work.
06:13:47@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <jorge>In order to create a dispute two fees have to be paid:

  • Court subscription: an Ethereum account needs to subscribe to Aragon Court in order to have the right to create a dispute. Currently this fee has been set to 10 Dai per month.

  • Dispute creation fee: Every time someone creates a dispute they need to pay a fee to directly compensate the jurors that are involved in resolving it. This fee is currently set to 30 Dai (since 3 jurors will be drafted to resolve it)

17:10:07@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <JayRudduck>Hey! I was wondering, what sort of cases are expected soon after the release of the Court? Thanks.

01:54:56@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <mizomizu>Does juror require coding skill?
03:43:48@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <mcormier>Hi @JayRudduck. Mostly mock disputes during the precedence campaign, which should last at least 2-3 months. However, from a juror’s perspective, all rewards and fees will be real. You can find more information about the precedence campaign in the following guide: blog.aragon.org/juror-pre-activation-guide
03:48:40@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <mcormier>Hey @mizomizu. Not at all :) A dashboard will be available where you will find all the relevant information and tools you need as a juror to resolve disputes.

07:00:44@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <jasonBTC>Thanks your reply.
07:18:22@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <jorge>As @mcormier says, on Feb 10th the Phase 2 of the Aragon Network launch will kick off with a precedence campaign in which it will be possible to feed the Court mock disputes similar to the ones that are expected to happen starting in Phase 3. Phase 3 will start when Aragon orgs can start using Aragon Court to arbiter agreements between members and the organization (akin to operating agreements)
07:19:36@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <jorge>If anyone considers that a member is acting against the agreement that ‘they signed’, they can challenge their actions and the Court will decide whether to allow the action through or slash the ANT collateral/deposit of the person who did something that the agreement didn’t allow
16:39:20@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <JayRudduck>Great, thank you for those clarifications. I guess my question though was relating to non-mock cases and your expectations in that regard.
16:40:05@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <JayRudduck>Evidently, I understand you (probably) cannot know. It’s really, again, about expectations.
18:29:02@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <mars>I'm just wondering why ANT and ANJ numbers are not exactly 100x?
21:29:25@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <mcormier>That is a good question, let me see if I can find some information about this asymmetry.

15:04:44@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <jorge>The smart contract allows converting directly although it wasn’t added it to the UI to make the UX better
