I believe anyone can do that

16:58:35@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <light>

send the recover tx

17:14:11@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <chrishobcroft>

Thanks @light - I’m persevering with the cli, but hitting a few niggles:

I did this after getting aragon/cli installed:

  • Ran the command aragon dao exec ethereumcatherders.aragonid.eth 0x4eF0A899BF3e8065602Acf86D4f169D111C2D44f "recoverToVault(address)" 0x89d24A6b4CcB1B6fAA2625fE562bDD9a23260359

  • Got the error:

Web3 cannot connect using the network provider.
Make sure 'aragon devchain' is running or your provider settings are correct.
  • Ran aragon devchain (is that right? the DAO is on mainchain)

  • Again ran the command aragon dao exec ethereumcatherders.aragonid.eth 0x4eF0A899BF3e8065602Acf86D4f169D111C2D44f "recoverToVault(address)" 0x89d24A6b4CcB1B6fAA2625fE562bDD9a23260359

  • Got the errors:

 ✖ Generating transaction
→ The provided DAO address is invalid
   Sending transaction
✖ The provided DAO address is invalid

Question: am I using the wrong information for [aragonid of dao] or am I running this vs rinkeby?

Hi @chrishobcroft you have created the dao ethereumcatherders before

17:24:48@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <chrishobcroft>

Yes, it’s here https://mainnet.aragon.org/#/ethereumcatherders.aragonid.eth/ - I created it using the web interface.

17:25:22@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <gabi>

By default aragonCLI use you local devchain. If you want to run rinkeby you need to provider the argument --environment with the value aragon:rinkeby

17:25:40@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <chrishobcroft>

I don’t want to use rinkeby, I am on mainchain with real money.

17:25:46@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <gabi>

That dao is in mainnet

17:26:01@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <chrishobcroft>

17:26:21@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <chrishobcroft>

Yes, and 50 DAI was sent to the Finance app directly, in error, and is now locked there :(

17:26:40@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <gabi>

You need to run like dao exec ethereumcatherders.aragonid.eth 0x4eF0A899BF3e8065602Acf86D4f169D111C2D44f "recoverToVault(address)" 0x89d24A6b4CcB1B6fAA2625fE562bDD9a23260359 --environment aragon:mainnet

17:27:00@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <chrishobcroft>

trying now…

17:27:37@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <chrishobcroft>
 ✖ Generating transaction
→ No ABI specified in artifact for 0x4eF0A899BF3e8065602Acf86D4f169D111C2D44f

✖ No ABI specified in artifact for 0x4eF0A899BF3e8065602Acf86D4f169D111C2D44f

let’s move this to #feedback

Hi all, we’re organizing a DAO/community meetup on 8th of May, during the Next Web Conference in Amsterdam.
We’re looking for a 3rd speaker, next to Bounties Network and a local Amsterdam community-driven DAO.

Any chance someone from Aragon would be around and available?

Hey everyone 👋 I was wondering if you are going to give the option to make tokens non-transferable via the democracy template anytime soon? https://github.com/aragon/aragon/issues/563
Or maybe you decided against it?

13:18:28@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <tatu>

@wslyvh Thanks for considering Aragon, I think as for Aragon One, we will have to see how our other engagements around that time are, @light would have a better understanding of the current situation and can weigh in :)

13:23:03@bridge-bot:matrix.orgbridge-bot <tatu>

@nk Hi, you could try asking on #dev as it’s more of a implementation detail
