svenxp | Hi everyone. i just wanted to ask if there is a version or a planned future release which supports android auto? | 08:47:04 |
SpiritCroc | Short answer: No.
Long answer: Since Element supports Android Auto, in theory SchildiChat (the old app, not "Next") supports it too, but is untested. It is disabled when installed from Google Play Store, as that would require some paperwork and making sure we actually test it, which we don't. If you install it from F-Droid, it should still be enabled, but use at your own risk. If you intend to install from F-Droid, consider installing the FCM version from our own repo rather than the official F-Droid repo, in case you want to still have push notifications via Google Services. | 08:54:32 |

@neko:tsubasa.moe | Hello everyone, is there a way to use master key / device key etc. to trust a user without checking emoji? | 09:13:15 |
svenxp | Thanks, i will check the F-Droid version then. If you need someone for testing, i could help. I have alot of experience as SW-Tester. | 09:13:39 |

I know that this can be done with the CS API and I want to look for a GUI solution that supports this feature. | 09:14:50 |
SpiritCroc | Thanks, but I'm not interested in maintaining Android Auto at this point, so if it works then great, but I won't touch it if it doesn't. | 09:31:45 |

Iirc Element X wanted to support android auto some time in the future (right now its mostly threads, then spaces, then other more important missing features) but then its gonna be the same situation i guess | 12:53:02 |
