Daniel B | In reply to Joao 4.6Gib? Also note, it says Snapdragon 845, isn't the 8t a SD865 with 8GB Ram? I can only assume that during development the configs used to support the hardware are not configured correctly for the 8t yet? 🤔 | 21:41:25 |

Daniel B | Do you think that the support for the 8t/8Pro would be similar to the 6/6t in terms of compatibility and PMOS support, or they would need to be manually managed separately and one being prone to compatibility issues?
Having used the OnePlus 6, PinePhone & PinePhone Pro for PMOS testing in the past, I do think that the OnePlus 8 Pro looks like it could provide the solutions to some of the problems that make the other devices not practical as daily driver devices.
The 8 Pro looks slightly more tempting simply for the slightly larger display, so if I need to tinker with fractional scaling to get clipped apps to fit within the available physical screen space, it shouldn't force everything to be quite so micro in order to get some of those specific apps to work well in portrait. The 12GB RAM option also looks like a good future proof option for Linux mobile projects. The 120Hz display and modern GPU too look like they should offer a nice smooth experience under most circumstances. | 09:34:06 |
hacker420 | would be interesting to try it out for box64 | 12:53:03 |

Joao | does usb OTG work on the op6? | 16:25:21 |
blueslee0822 | I have no clue yet. Need to figure out how to start, i.e. which Android base i need initially, original Android firmware (Android 10) or maybe an up to date LOS? I probably need to root the device using Magisk as of "adb root" instructions to back up super.img. We will see ... | 16:44:13 |
