Matrixator | A practical approach of decentralization... | 09:42:17 |
Matrixator | In hindsight, this might have been a better approach... | 09:43:59 |
@matthewcarano:matrix.org | Of course it was not. You either try to change the world, or you compromise and become what you're trying to fight. Ethereum community right now has devolved into compromise because of the realization that the tech has some serious flaws. Hopefully that changes and becomes a stable, scalable base layer. But I'm not buying them patting themselves on the back as a practical approach. It's just what they can do with the current state of things. A compromise. | 10:41:22 |
Matrixator | I get your point, but what about making a compromise at first and gradually transitioning to a state without compromises...gradually decentralising the whole thing layer by layer...uncompromising it... | 11:23:57 |

@matthewcarano:matrix.org | Why waste your time until Ethereum can scale? Right now it's just people building things that aren't adoptable because of ETH limitations. Wake me when the base layer is good enough. | 11:27:34 |
CoachB | Als Antwort auf @pawlee:matrix.org I get your point, but what about making a compromise at first and gradually transitioning to a state without compromises...gradually decentralising the whole thing layer by layer...uncompromising it... I agree. That is the approach we should take. The challenge though is to fight against the convenience of a running but not fully decentralized product. At some point you may ask „why should I change this now“.
The difficulty bomb is an example of how to overcome such procrastination. | 13:04:33 |
