Hans | In reply to James Tervit Q. If I setup a lite node over starlink and tunnel it to singapore, will it be considered singapore or the local point ? wherever the IP geolocates to | 16:15:52 |
James Tervit | In reply to Hans wherever the IP geolocates to awesome I have a home solution in the making to host from home, we can trial bandwidth and connectivity. | 17:15:10 |
James Tervit | In reply to Zach I would think the network will see it as Singapore for all practical reasons, but it'd get selected less by the network as it'd usually have that extra latency do we have any way to run a test for qiuakity on any connections? maybe a dashboard feature | 17:29:47 |

Daniel | I’ve been attempting to install diode on a 64 bit pi machine and I keep getting a segmentation fault. It’s installed as user but on restart after installation it doesn’t respond and I get the segmentation fault. Any ideas? | 18:56:02 |
Daniel | App
Using this command initially:
curl -Ssf https://diode.io/install.sh | bash | 19:54:35 |
Hans | Does anyone have a bookworm binary? | 19:59:35 |
Hans | Can you confirm OS version? (bullseye vs bookworm) | 20:00:43 |
Daniel | I successfully did it on a separate pi device two weeks ago but this one refuses to complete installation | 20:00:24 |
Daniel | Pi?
Linux node 6.6.31+rpt-rpi-2712 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.6.31-1+rpt1 (2024-05-29) aarch64 GNU/Linux | 20:01:30 |
Hans | Hey Daniel - I think you have to be using Bullseye - Bookworm will need to be built from source. | 19:59:28 |
Zach | In reply to Daniel I’ve been attempting to install diode on a 64 bit pi machine and I keep getting a segmentation fault. It’s installed as user but on restart after installation it doesn’t respond and I get the segmentation fault. Any ideas? Are you trying to install the Diode CLI, Lite Node, or Diode App? | 19:53:18 |
Hans | Yeah, that is bookworm - we are currently compiling the binaries still against bullseye. I guess the binaries will not work on that. | 20:10:40 |
Daniel | In reply to Hans Yeah, that is bookworm - we are currently compiling the binaries still against bullseye. I guess the binaries will not work on that. Solution then? | 20:34:30 |
Daniel | * Solution then, 32 bit? | 20:51:22 |
Hans | Any guidance for forum.diode.io??! | 22:17:47 |
Daniel | Modified original, it’s running but I still have a segmentation error. | 22:18:05 |

Hans | Amazing!! | 22:17:30 |
Ö A | If doesn't work, compile using Docker. Pretty fast to build using Docker | 22:35:46 |
Ö A | *Not latest version | 22:37:27 |
