.. | Btw asterisks still look like that on Samsung devices. I think I once reported this, and it looks especially bad when Aegis is as beauty as ever | 16:13:33 |
.. | Anyway thank you guys for maintaining it. This is the first app that got me into the foss world, and I try my best to leave my mark since | 16:14:22 |

alexbakker | Ideally we'd do some calculations on how large the digits actually are on screen, and then base the asterisk size on that. We just haven't gotten around to it | 16:16:20 |
.. | Yess, it's just about how some fonts (including the Samsung Sans) handle the ● character. A possible walkaroud would be to set a specific font for these bullets, because it looks fine on the original PR's screen, but I'm not sure if you can set a font dynamically | 16:30:45 |
.. | Or maybe a little icon? Idk what would be easier to implement | 16:31:40 |

michaelschattgen | We've considered this but we like to keep the icon (packs) separated from the app. This way we don't have to maintain the icon packs ourselves and our users don't have to wait for us to release a new version of the app before their new icons get included. Unless alexbakker's stance on this changed; I don't see this coming to Aegis anytime soon. | 12:39:33 |

PureFallen | Hello everyone,
I came here for a similar questions. I did read through the 3.0.0 changelog of Aegis and saw the "automatic assignment of icons" being brought up. I was wondering how exactly this was going to work. Is there any action/cleanup required as someone who did manually setup aegis-icons and manually assigned them in the past? | 22:26:38 |
michaelschattgen | Hi! So the feature we talked about in our changelog is about a new screen which lets Aegis find matching icons. You can access this view by either importing new entries into your vault or by having multiple entries selected and tapping the three dots in the top right to access the "Assign icons" view. | 22:30:15 |

michaelschattgen | Here is a video of it in action. Aegis automatically picks the first suggested icon of the first available icon pack. | 22:32:22 |
PureFallen | Ah, alright. Thanks for the info. | 22:32:23 |
michaelschattgen | So to (eventually) answer your question; there's no cleanup required and you can manually access this view for icons you want to have replaced if needed. | 22:33:11 |
