sarbes | Well, the default sink is now PA, this has been reverted. PW is still available. | 17:03:43 |
neo1973 | Yes, but on PipeWire explicit permission needs to be given for apps to access the PipeWire socket. This permission has been removed temporarily so KODI_AE_SINK=PIPEWIRE and --audio-backend=pipewire don't work either. | 17:08:12 |
sarbes | Oh :/ | 17:34:29 |

pepijndevos | Either I don't understand how these games work or the C buttons on the N64 don't map correctly. How do I debug this? | 12:50:02 |
pepijndevos | The default map has them on the right joystick but they all seem to map to B | 13:27:04 |
bgt lover | In reply to @_slack_teamkodi_U6BCTU3TM:matrix.org No, that's not reverted. You need to set an environment variable: KODI_AE_SINK=PIPEWIRE weird, in my settings, system, audio, I still see sound devices as having a pipewire suffix. May this be because I granted kodi permission for accessing the pipewire socket by path? | 14:21:13 |
bgt lover | In reply to @_slack_teamkodi_U049SEDUNRJ:matrix.org It has been reverted, reason and possible way forward are described here: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=377684 I would gladly test, except...I dk if omega is compatible with the kodi screenreader adon, which is important because I can't use kodi otherwise, since the UI itself isn't made accessible, with a cross-platform library such as accesskit or similar. Still, you can request pipewire socket permission, but then try to enumerate sinks via the API, if you find nothing, pw isn't used for audio and you can then enable the pulse mode again. | 14:26:19 |

garbear | @pepijndevos Can you upload a debug log showing them not working? I can usually see the problem in the debug log | 23:01:40 |

pepijndevos | garbear: I'd be happy to, just need to figure out how | 03:52:27 |
pepijndevos | Meanwhile I've eliminated the emulator core as the problem, since retroarch maps them correctly | 03:53:09 |
