If you use formatting which isn't commonly supported, it will end up being harder to read on other instances. if you use server software that supports formatting, the server will send the formatted text to other instances, which will display it correctly
if you use client software that supports formatting (e.g. elk), then it will be less legible for people on other instances | 06:32:41 |

I am having two issues, one major, one minor
Minor issue, I think the "selected tab" blue bar in the top bar is way too low and I hate the "slime" animation, if I could get the old wide bars that animate normally back I would do it
My eyesight isn't so good so reducing the sizes of things or reducing the information on screen makes me unhappy, it feels like I am having to work harder and strain my eyes harder to parse the interface
I don't know if we can do anything about that
The bigger problem… the left side bar
I'm having a little bit of trouble getting it to recognize the swipe-right gesture to bring it out
But once it's out I find it almost impossible to scroll
It's interpreting my scroll gestures as swipe-left-to-dismiss gestures… I think when I scroll or when I swipe I do so a little diagonally, but usually apps can intuit my intent, this one leftside bar can't
I basically cannot scroll the left side bar casually, I have to move very slowly and methodically
It's not friendly
is there anything we can do about that?

Some apps on my phone (Tusky, Bluesky) have this problem, but others (Discord) do not.
It's making it VERY VERY hard to post groups of images from my phone.
