Dan Anderson (NYC) 🌽 | * With this influx of capital, I would expect there to be some hardware to follow, like a Pokédex wallet. Book of Orbs, but more like a Ledger. | 21:34:53 |
Majoni 🌽 | lol | 21:35:25 |
Don Cornleone🌽 | In reply to Dan Anderson (NYC) 🌽 But that’s super speculative as hardware is hard and expensive i never knew thats why they called it hardware | 21:46:01 |

Dan Anderson (NYC) 🌽 | Here’s a random thought experiment about art on the blockchain.
A 1x1 black png pixel is 67 bytes which is small enough to fit in a Bitcoin op return transaction.
So the image could literally be on the blockchain. But it “looks” like:
89 50 4e 47 0d 0a 1a 0a 00 00 00 0d 49 48 44 52
It still needs to be interpreted and rendered to be seen. But you could own and transfer pixels.
Literally colored coins.
Since it’s the case that a computer would need to render the PNG bytes anyways, it would be more efficient to instead to store something like #000000 w=1, h=1.
That’s not an image file itself, though it could be interpreted and rendered as a black pixel all the same. And leave you with room for additional metadata like a title or author date.
Anything digital is compressed data down to 1s and 0s anyways. It’s the human OS rendering software that makes the thing work.
There’s no dollars on the blockchain and yet it’s $1T.
Is the implementation with the 67 byte PNG more valuable than the #000000 method? They ultimately represent the same image. | 22:15:52 |

mightbebemike | In reply to Dan Anderson (NYC) 🌽 Here’s a random thought experiment about art on the blockchain. oh this is just great stuff, yes you could spend to "sell the asset" huh | 23:01:11 |
mightbebemike | I mean all things digital can be represented in an almost infinite number of ways, hence why it's a questionable idea to say that anything digital can be illegal (what about part of it? like say, one byte? one bit?) | 23:01:25 |
mightbebemike | also how can anyone know for sure their program isn't actually a protected work if represented in another format like base 93? | 23:01:35 |
mightbebemike | all computer code is illegal or none of it is is the logical conclusion, but one that is extremely unpopular | 23:02:13 |
