Semra Fetahovic | Hi GOAT friends. I'm looking for a free alternative to the now non-existent Google Jam board. Any recs? | 18:52:38 |
Ben Weinberg | I like using Figjam by Figma. It's got a pretty generous free plan, although can take a few minutes to create a login for folks who have never used Figma before. | 20:16:09 |
Juliet | Miro is one a lot it us use too, however it’s free plan is limited to only 3 workspaces, which pretty much forces you to pay if you adopt. | 20:20:30 |

sudokita | BUT if you are an education or non-profit, you can apply for a Miro account which gives you 100 free seats! | 02:28:34 |
sudokita | I've also dried some stuff by ink & switch (per jamie's recommendation) and a couple of others that haven't totally stuck with me. | 02:29:03 |

Semra Fetahovic | Hi ALL GOAT - we have a few limited spots for folks to attend single days of the GOAT conference. Please share this with folks who you think may be interested in participating: | 21:17:27 |
Semra Fetahovic | Hi GOAT friends, we are excited to offer up some single-day spots for farmers and other agrifood stakeholders who may only have space for small bites of GOAT at this time! Single day registration includes both lunch and dinner at Paicines Ranch, we have 10 single-day tickets available each day. We also have 5 camping slots available. Each is offered at a sliding scale, and the suggested rates are $100 for single day tickets and $30 for camping. Must register by October 24th 2024!
Here’s a sense of what you might expect on each day, but consider that the program specifics are emergent:
Monday, Day 1 - GOAT Orientation: Are you curious about what GOAT is? Do you want to engage but aren’t sure how? This is the day to join! The opening session of Day 1 will be a “GOAT 101” with background, a community mapping session, and co-creation of the unconference agenda for the coming days.
Tuesday, Day 2 - GOAT Hands-On: On Day 2, we’ll dig into curated salon discussions, workshops, and unconference sessions as determined during the first day. We will host an evening “Demo Bazaar” where folks can interact directly with open source ag technology. In that sense, Day 2 can also be stand-alone for someone who wants to see more tangibly what exactly GOAT is.
Wednesday Day 3 - GOAT Networking: On Day 3, we’ll continue with a mix of unconference sessions, workshops, and curated salon discussions. It also includes our main conference social event. People are typically settled into the groove of the conference, so you could think of it as a good “networking” day.
Thursday Day 4 - GOAT Closing: On Day 4, we’ll continue our exploration of unconference sessions, workshops and curated salon discussions. However, we’ll be looking forward, planning next steps, and debating the future of collaboration, governance, and sustainability of open ag tech. You’ll witness summary discussions and outputs from a range of collaborative roadmapping activities, and be able to voice your thoughts on the future of GOAT and beyond.
To sign up for a single-day ticket, please use this link. If you plan on camping, please purchase a camping ticket for the day that you will be camping. If you have questions please email goatech.org@gmail.com - please share with folks who you think may be interested! | 21:17:29 |

mstenta | Juliet: The link in this post requires a Calendly login - is that intended? Or was it supposed to be open to public? (I'm not super familiar with Calendly's options) https://forum.goatech.org/t/goat-community-calls-rescheduling-poll-community-presentation-requests/1778 | 18:00:22 |
