Mist: You'll probably need to use your own custom completion-at-point functions, as the standard ones build completion tables containing the display names as well as the IDs.
completion-at-point-functions is a variable defined in `minibuffer.el'.
Its value is
(ement-room--complete-members-at-point ement-room--complete-rooms-at-point pcomplete-completions-at-point t ispell-completion-at-point)
Local in buffer *Ement compose: Ement.el*
