@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08basically right now i've got setup conduit(matrixserver)->nginx->i2p, these are all working fine but i need to port forward from my router as the conneciton is very slow when its firewalled07:43:34
@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08so it needs to become07:43:49
@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08conduit->nginx->i2p->out of virtualbox->out to forwarded port07:44:11
@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08i've set up port forwarding on 32169 from my router, and its the same locally07:45:20

@berry:berryez.xyzMr.MacskaIf you want to forward traffic via a i2 (ie running a matrix server) you will need op create a tunnel for it in /etc/i2pd/tunnels.conf07:48:33
@berry:berryez.xyzMr.MacskaYou dont need to open a port for that servoce as all the i2p traffic goes thru one port, (the one define in /etc/i2pd/i2pd.conf)07:49:08
@berry:berryez.xyzMr.Macska [matrix]
type = http
host = 127.0.0.1
port = (port of synapse server)
keys = matrix.dat
07:50:25
@berry:berryez.xyzMr.Macskalike this07:50:28
@berry:berryez.xyzMr.Macskaah sorry, do you use i2p or i2pd?07:50:47
@berry:berryez.xyzMr.Macska* [matrix] type = http host = 127.0.0.1 port = (port of conduit server) keys = matrix.dat07:52:30

oh ive done all of this
08:37:29
@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08(using i2pd)08:37:32
@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08i just dont know how i can get the i2p to forward it through the router08:37:45
@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08right now its doing some kind of thing to get aroudn the firewall which is making it slow08:38:02
@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08so i need to let it through my modem08:38:16
@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08sorry its probably a bit of a niche setup08:38:45
@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08[matrix-site] type = http host = 127.0.0.1 port = 8080 keys = matrix-site.dat08:39:21
@rosa08:matrix.orgrosa08this is the current setup i have which works great except its firewalled08:39:34
@berry:berryez.xyzMr.MacskaAh if your i2pd console shows firewalled that means you dont have a port open for i2pd. If you open one it will go back to OK08:49:22
@berry:berryez.xyzMr.Macska
In reply to @rosa08:matrix.org
so i need to let it through my modem
Yes
08:49:35
@berry:berryez.xyzMr.MacskaYou need to open it in your router. For me i have port 5903 set in my i2pd config and opened on my router and my status is OK08:50:11

i just dont know how i can get the i2p to forward it through the router
So basically if you create a tunnel in i2pd your router will forward all its traffic via your routers port (for me 5903)
08:51:41
@berry:berryez.xyzMr.MacskaSo you only need to open one port for all of your tunnels08:51:52
@rails11326206827:matrix.orgTremorIts not rewuired to port forward for i2p to work. It helps you reach more peers though. Just an FYI.23:58:02
