But with the GPL, there's a clause that basically goes along the lines of "financial compensation for distribution is acceptable" - the reasoning was to allow for reimbursement for CD-ROM costs back in the early internet days, but i've seen that exploited. Perfect example is the blender FLIP fluid plugin, they only release source code if you pay for the compiled binaries. | 20:00:48 |
