@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefe Stephen304: / cure - what is the state of the EspressoBin Firmware? The https://massmesh.org/wiki/index.php?title=Globalscale_ESPRESSObin_v5 doc points to a file that does not exist. 16:59:13
@Stephen304:matrix.orgStephen304I think the espressobin is just too slow for yggdrasil, and it also has tricky bootloader settings and seems it doesn't always ship with the same settings. Coupled with the high price and a pi4 is a much better option - I think the build was probably removed because we couldnt figure out what bootloader settings/commands to recommend for people buying new ones17:17:00
@Stephen304:matrix.orgStephen304changed room power levels.17:17:56
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefethanks. I will update the wiki page to say it isn't supported for those reasons, and if someone wants to work on it we will do our best to help.17:19:11
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefeUnfortunately RaspberryPi 4Bs and APU2 aren't available for purchase at the moment.17:20:19
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefe The docs for APU2s are even less detailed than for Espressobin. Should I add a similar comment that it isn't supported at the moment? Stephen304 17:21:23
@Stephen304:matrix.orgStephen304The APU should be well supported since it's x86, the docs are probably pretty bare because it's straightforward but it's mostly like the pi - write the sd with the x86 image and it should boot right up17:23:38
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefeok, thanks18:13:43
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefeI am updating https://massmesh.org/wiki/index.php?title=PC_Engines_APU2. We don't list the image they should download, and there are several in https://downloads.massmesh.net/snapshots/images/meshnode/apu2/. Which should we tell them to use?18:28:15
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefeLooks like the ESPRESSObin-Ultra/v7 is available. Hopefully powerful enough to handle Ygg and OpenWRT supports it. $40 more than same Pi board, but since those aren't available ...19:13:05
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefeBTW: Here is a list of OpenWRT supported single board computers that run OpenWRT 21.02.1 https://openwrt.org/toh/views/toh_available_16128?dataflt%5BDevice+Type*%7E%5D=Single+Board+Computer&dataflt%5BSupported+Current+Rel_releasepage*%7E%5D=21.02.1&dataflt%5BRAM+MB*%7E%5D=21:28:03
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefeNot sure how to list only those that have 1 GB of ram21:29:19
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefe

I feel like part of the problem is that it doesn't say that there's no password set, it just shows me the login screen assuming I know the password

Thankfully, reflashing the SD card seemed to fix the issue. Right wgahnagl ?

@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefe What is the link to the massmesh grafana? Stephen304 / cure 16:48:48
@Stephen304:matrix.orgStephen304It's https://grafana.massmesh.net/16:49:31
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefeSo easy. Thanks!16:50:41
@jokeefe:matrix.orgjokeefeAfter I logged in, it didn't give me any default dashboards. What should I search for or do I need to be authorized?16:53:34
@Stephen304:matrix.orgStephen304 I think ward has to authorize github accounts, unless it's set to allow the github org. I'm not sure. cure ? 16:57:38

@wgahnagl:matrix.orgpuffball🤔 so I'm thinking about the future readyness script to keep a regular heartbeat of active nodes (sorry for procrastinating for so long!) and I'm thinking it might be a good idea to add a field in the node configuration page that allows you to set an address so I could use something more granular than just the IP address. Would it be easy to add something like that? WIth an advanced mode that lets you set the API endpoint of a map that you can report to? Also does the existing massmesh map have an API I could use? 14:31:58
