There's also work in progress for GUi installer I’m not suggesting there is no room for improvement or that there should not be a GUI installer for FreeBSD, but the current bsdinstall does a really good job and is easy & simple to use in my experience. It also has been very well documented in the handbook and is easy to follow and understand. https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/bsdinstall/#bsdinstall-start
