@jes0:matrix.orgJeS24 Hi moni42077 (Emanuil Hristov). Glad to hear that you are interested in Numerical Relativity and EinsteinPy. Can you elaborate on what aspect of numerical relativity, you'd want to look into? You can usually find a lot of contemporary resources from places like conference proceedings or short-term schools on NR. 18:01:19
@moni42077-636efb9e6da03739849f6220:gitter.immoni42077 (Emanuil Hristov) Thank you for the reply. I think black hole simulation is my main interest and an area I want to expand on. And bh simulation in terms of geodesics prediction and gravitational field visualization(at least those are the areas I know are possible). 19:28:08

@jes0:matrix.orgJeS24I see. So, then you'd probably want to look into Dr. Carles Bona's lecture series and Dr. Masaru Shibata's Numerical Relativity textbook. These don't go into the coding details, but they do elaborate on the numerical techniques and their efficacy for things like BH simulation. Dr. Shibata also has publications dealing with other aspects of NR, that you can find here: http://www2.yukawa.kyoto-u.ac.jp/~masaru.shibata/books.html. I am not sure, if all of these have been published in English, but the Numerical Relativity textbook is available in English.03:27:20

@omdaxini:matrix.orgOm DaxiniHi! I am a sophomore student with some experience in ML and am really interested in working on EPy for the GSoC - 23. Any suggestions on where should I start? 13:12:35

Hi Om Daxini. EinsteinPy is not participating in GSoC 2023. You can find other related organizations, that are participating, here: https://openastronomy.org/gsoc/gsoc2023/#/projects. In case, you want to contribute to EinsteinPy regardless, please peruse https://docs.einsteinpy.org/en/latest/dev_guide.html and see https://github.com/einsteinpy/einsteinpy/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3A%22good+first+issue%22.

@xsnac:matrix.orgxsnachey there! sorry to bother, I am trying to get some geodesics for schwarzschild, however when I try to run an example, (in jupyter) I get the following error "ImportError: cannot import name 'Timelike' from 'einsteinpy.geodesic'", does any1 have an ideea how to solve this? thank you!16:44:47

@jes0:matrix.orgJeS24Hey, sorry for the delayed reply. Which EinsteinPy version are you using? If it's 0.4 or 0.5.dev0 (latest from GitHub), follow the docs from here: https://docs.einsteinpy.org/en/latest/. 09:17:12

@oliverholcomb:matrix.orgoliverholcombHello, I have a technical problem. When i was following the instruction to use the existing modules for metric like Schwarzschild metric, it took a long time to generate the sch.tensor(),even over 40 min it was still running. But when I was typing a tensor by myself and applying EinsteinTensor, that was not the case. Is it due to the package version or something else?11:21:32
