Anyways, I attempted to sign in using my GitHub account after I noticed Gitter.im in my Authorized OAuth Apps section of GitHub settings, but was greeted with a message informing me that my account was deactivated. Hello, I attempted to email support@gitter.im as described on the Documentation/FAQ page, but it seems the email address does not exist. Anyways, I attempted to sign in using my GitHub account after I noticed Gitter.im in my Authorized OAuth Apps section of GitHub settings, but was greeted with a message informing me that my account was deactivated. I don't think I have ever used the service, only signed up, so why the deactivation? The deactivation might be a timeout (don't use it for a year, get deactivated, that kind of thing).
As for the support email address, Gitter joined the Matrix network and its client was absorbed into Element. madlittlemods (Eric Eastwood), who originally built Gitter, was initially employed at Element but got laid off. We are not sure yet whether anyone else at Element is currently supporting the Gitter server.
