Seems pre-emptive to me. Already banned via morg cock and acting like a tool here, sooner or later it's going to end up in a ban, so why not get it over with.

The ban was because I recognized the user ID from a previous incident in the matrix.org-moderated rooms, and the user did not show any different behaviour from that incident. If they didn't raise eyebrows in their reply then I probably would have never looked at their user ID, honestly.

The admins/other moderators here are welcome to reverse the ban if they so decide, per usual.
