@cos:hacklab.fi@cos:hacklab.fi TravisR: I also noticed it's not possible to invite people to the bots space. Is that intentional? That also means I can't get a shareable link. 10:21:54
@travis:t2l.ioTravisR It's public so people should be able to join it. 13:25:02
@cos:hacklab.fi@cos:hacklab.fiBut it's not possible to share it or invite into it13:29:02
@travis:t2l.ioTravisRThat's somewhat intentional on public rooms13:41:04
@cos:hacklab.fi@cos:hacklab.fiThat doesn't make any sense. How are people expected to get into it?13:51:16

@rpgresearch:matrix.orgrpgresearchGreetings. I'm trying to find out if there are any features/plugins bot or option that manages "break out rooms". The use case is that the room moderator / meeting organizer has a group of people in the "main" room. They then are going to break out into separate rooms dynamically created just for this meeting. Let's say breakoutroom1, breakoutroom2, and breakoutroom3. As it is, the meeting organizer would have to manually create those rooms, then manually invite the people wanted for each room (users Nancy, George, and Ringo to breakoutroom1, users Baldwin, Hammond, and Jackson to breakoutroom2, and users Glorin, Dolhis, and Mary to breakoutroom3). Then when they were finished, the rooms would still be lingering in the system. Has anyone created any method/feature/bot to make this much simpler? Let's say a bot that when a command is sent by the meeting organizer with a command something like "create 3 breakoutrooms" (randomly named, or perhaps with name-base options such as "create 3 breakoutrooms room#), and then based on parameters passed by the meeting organizer, automatically invites, either at random, or by some parameters (let's alphabetically, A-C, D-G, etc.) to each room. Anyone aware of anything like this existing for the matrix ecosystem? Thanks kindly for any suggestions not involving writing my own (we'll do that if we have to, but want to first rule out anything that already exists so we aren't reinventing the wheel). Thanks!16:50:43
