Michael (t3chguy) | Please do not spam in this room. | 17:09:52 |
michael | Apologies, it was not meant at all as spam, it was my sign of revelation to the grandness of what you have created here | 17:11:04 |

Mathijs | Michael (t3chguy): I haven't accidentally missed the new matrix static version, have I? | 10:01:04 |
| * Mathijs is still hoping for the better caching-thing to prevent matrix.f-droid.org from 502-ing | 10:02:10 |
Michael (t3chguy) | Unfortunately not | 10:17:04 |
Michael (t3chguy) | Also redis caching (planned) won't fix 502s which are caused by synapse timeouts | 10:17:31 |
Michael (t3chguy) | Might make them rarer at best | 10:17:38 |
Mathijs | ah | 11:18:42 |
Mathijs | is then the only (current) workaround that I just wget the two rooms we want logged on matrix.f-droid.org every, like, half hour? | 11:19:32 |
Mathijs | which I would happily do, but it feels... icky | 11:20:27 |
Michael (t3chguy) | oh you mean the cache invalidation tweaks | 11:21:36 |
Michael (t3chguy) | I guess those would help for rooms you want to always keep in memory | 11:21:44 |
Michael (t3chguy) | I have my dissertation due on Tuesday, hopefully will make time after that's submitted | 11:22:18 |
Mathijs | In reply to @x:riot.ovh I have my dissertation due on Tuesday, hopefully will make time after that's submitted oh, sorry to have bothered you! good luck with your dissertation | 11:27:47 |
Mathijs | (what's the topic?) | 11:27:54 |
Michael (t3chguy) | Intelligent closed loop electromagnet control based on a raspberry pi | 11:30:04 |
Michael (t3chguy) | Wasn't exactly my first choice | 11:30:25 |
Mathijs | I see | 11:35:02 |
Mathijs | I'm a little vague on what that means | 11:35:29 |
Mathijs | (also: is that masters dissertation?) | 11:35:48 |
michael | In reply to @x:riot.ovh Intelligent closed loop electromagnet control based on a raspberry pi I may be able to help you there, I currently have a rotor with 5 spokes being detected by two hall effects, with a LCD 1602 display to show the RPM, a kind friend Ray gave me some info to look at and I 3d printed the rotor. Mine however different in implementation uses an Arduino Nano so far, so nothing earth splitting there. Good luck with yours, I am sure you will get through. Tuesdays are always good days for Michaels. | 11:36:18 |
michael | In reply to @mathijs:matrix.vgorcum.com I'm a little vague on what that means let me know if there is anything I can assist you with, and apologies once more, I am really stunned by the similarities many here have right down to the name. | 11:56:13 |
Michael (t3chguy) | In reply to @mathijs:matrix.vgorcum.com (also: is that masters dissertation?) BSc Computer Science | 11:59:13 |
Mathijs | cool! | 11:59:29 |
Michael (t3chguy) | In reply to @mathijs:matrix.vgorcum.com I'm a little vague on what that means means using a raspberry pi to control a 1 Tonne magnet to obtain and maintain a given high precision field | 11:59:40 |
Mathijs | I was a married bachelor of science for a while :) | 11:59:44 |
