Junte (Telegram) | Oh hi Patrice! Γa va?
Currently Wei's working hard for the DNS functionality on Neatcoin. You can check Github on the Corepaper Discord.
Do you need an invite?
He did finish the design of the smart contracts. | 15:24:25 |

Junte (Telegram) | βπ½hereβs the outline of the design. @patricevib | 15:29:48 |
Junte (Telegram) | Well for now as you know the only way to get NEAT is via OTC and the KLP/ Neatcoin atomic swap helps to make this safe.
The actor-based smart contracts are meant for both chains. At first it was meant for Kulupu and Neatcoin had the Diem's (Facebook's) Move contracts. Wei posted the above article in the Neatcoin Discord though. Maybe because he's busy doing things for Neatcoin at the moment. | 18:07:05 |

Junte (Telegram) | At the moment I'm doing a deep dive into the Substrate codebase. I am trying to add the Rmrk pallets to the Kabocha parachain.
Anyway I hope to be able to add to the codebase of Kulupu too in the future... The Substrate to Substrate bridge is live from Darwinia. It takes two to bridge, and because of Kulupu being PoW, pallets need to be added and customised on both chains. | 17:05:42 |
Junte (Telegram) | The overall problem is that not enough people contribute in a meaningful way. | 17:07:22 |

Wei Tang (Telegram) | I'm definitely still here. Just unfortunately not having enough time due to some other commitments. So things on Kulupu will take a while until we have another developer. | 23:19:28 |
Wei Tang (Telegram) | Kulupu is still the only production PoW blockchain built on Substrate as far as I know. Of course the problem it actually suffers from might be lack of teams. I unfortunately cannot fix it until at least for another full year, unless someone else step in. | 23:24:01 |

Junte (Telegram) | In reply to Wei Tang (Telegram) I'm definitely still here. Just unfortunately not having enough time due to some other commitments. So things on Kulupu will take a while until we have another developer. The configuration and testing of the gilt pallet would also take too much time? It would really help long-term holders.β¨ | 15:16:35 |
Wei Tang (Telegram) | I hope I can get working on it soon(tm). Hopefully some time during the second half of February, but can't make promises. | 15:18:09 |

Junte (Telegram) | I think Wei said that there is a shortage of developers at Parity at the moment. That's why he's unable to commit himself unless the situation changes.
Luckily more and more people learn Substrate, so who knows? | 15:41:46 |
Wei Tang (Telegram) | Of course. And please don't ask permissions in a decentralized project. You don't need it. | 21:30:49 |

Junte (Telegram) | Poll: Should miners get paid extra from the treasury for keeping the network alive? The low mc plus the bleak outlook on development could endanger the chain.
- Pay extra please
- They get paid enough

Junte (Telegram) | It used to be possible on telemetry.polkadot.io but it is not correct anymore. I always watch the making of the blocks on the explorer of Polkadot.js / wallet Neatcoin. | 14:27:11 |
Junte (Telegram) | Every miner can start or stop mining as they please. That's the beauty of proof of work. Whereas with proof of stake validators are in a fixed set and are monitored to be online.
I feel Polkadot.js gives you a better overview if you keep it running. | 15:08:55 |
Junte (Telegram) | I'm sure you can query the blockchain, but I'm not an expert on this. | 15:11:25 |
