Joseph Gayoso | For the Slimbook article what time is that going live? Can it go live at the same time as the Fedora 40 announcement? | 15:59:30 |
glb | I don't see any problem with publishing it at the same time. | 16:11:05 |
rlengland | @glb any word from @mattdm regarding the Fedora 40 announcement? | 16:42:25 |
Justin W. Flory (he/him) | rlengland: I know mattdm is aware of it, it came up in #release-day:fedora.im and I saw a draft somewhere at some point. | 16:45:38 |
glb | Matthew has a history of not getting the announcement done until the last minute. To-date at least, he has always come through. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. 🙂 | 16:56:54 |

mattdm | glb thank you for your confidence! :) | 20:30:53 |
mattdm | rlengland and Joseph Gayoso, sorry for being so late! | 20:31:16 |
mattdm | It's less late than the beta, but that's not really a good excuse because I knew this one was coming | 20:31:39 |
glb | It looks good to me. There are some places where the grammar isn't "technically" correct:
... But anyway! Enough of that. Time to see what we’ve got for you in Fedora Linux 40! ...
It is obvious enough that I assume those quirks are intentional and you are taking some "poetic licence" there to give your writing a little flare (complete sentences are supposed to have subjects, objects, and verbs 🙂).
| 21:08:14 |
rlengland | The link "Get Fedora" does not resolve.
I've added the feature image from the Pagure ticket
https://pagure.io/fedora-magazine-newsroom/issue/266
Adjusted the links to open in new windows and inserted the "READ MORE"
Ready to :ship: except for the link (?)

Yeah, that was my intention. If you'd prefer I change it, I can! | 23:26:32 |
glb | It's fine by me. 🙂 | 23:28:39 |
rlengland | I'd leave it. It's got personality. | 23:28:42 |
rlengland | ...however,...there's the matter of that link... | 23:29:25 |
glb | Go ahead and fix the link. I've got to run. 🙂 | 23:30:14 |
rlengland | mattdm: Was the link "Get Fedora" suppose to point to https://fedoraproject.org/ ?? It points to https://getfedoraproject.org/ which does not resolve. | 23:32:20 |
mattdm | Um, good catch! Please fix! | 23:34:21 |
mattdm | Thank you!!! | 23:34:25 |

Naadiyaar | Please let me know if this issue is off-topic for here. but I have problem accessing fedoramagazine.org on this laptop.
One day suddenly I couldn't reach fedora magazine anymore with error the connection has timed out. but my internet is fine and rest of the web including fedoraproject.org are accessible.
And it's not a matter of browser I tried different once and even my RSS client can't fetch feed anymore. so I thought the website is down but noticed I can access the website with no issue on my phone. | 10:42:51 |
Naadiyaar | Worth mentioning both laptop and phone are connected to the same internet | 10:43:24 |

Justin W. Flory (he/him) | Naadiyaar: Any reason to believe that your Internet traffic is being filtered or that the site is blocked? From the video, I am wondering whether you are getting cached results. | 11:18:29 |
Justin W. Flory (he/him) | You could also try a full refresh (Shift+Ctrl+R) and see if that helps? | 11:18:50 |
