dazinism | tiberius.maximus: can use adb shell uninstall to remove any bloatware or malware you dont want on the phone. | 09:05:57 |
dazinism | Without Google Play you need get updates to the webview yourself. Its good to keep that updated as it is used by many apps and the OS | 09:08:19 |
dazinism | You may also have Project Mainline components that still get security updates from Play Store. | 09:09:39 |
dazinism | Its also good to find a way to get those updates | 09:10:02 |

nitrogen | In reply to @tiberius.maximus:matrix.org How do you uninstall bloatware without root? look for UAD universal android debloater on GitHub. I stripped down my android 12, without root. I stripped so much I crashed my device. I did factory reset to.start stripping again. | 21:15:29 |
nitrogen | if I have sensors to off and microphone to off (from debug menu). Can they still be remotely turned on? given that France just passed a law alllowing agencies to remotely turn on camera and microphone. | 21:15:30 |
dazinism | nitrogen They have a law allowing them to do it, but they would need suitable exploits to be able to access mic or camera.
Or they would need access via an app you had installed and granted the necessary privileges.
If you turn off sensors or microphone permission for the whole system, or any app, it means they cant just utilise an app they have exploited or otherwise can control. | 22:20:52 |
