jorgesumle | I don't think we should let anyone edit the translations on Weblate, maybe we should choose trusted translators or see their contribution history. Probably it's better to work with pull requests. What do you think? | 00:35:31 |

Dan 🤐 | alderman (Is not the man & Braxman Tomsparks Advocate ) | Like erc with website | 10:43:04 |
xmrscott | Site down issue was backup configuration based | 00:05:50 |
jorgesumle | Pull requests should be accepted by another native person before being merged... That would work. | 11:51:54 |
xmrscott | The problem with using PRs long term is that it doesn't scale well. Because every suggestion set becomes a PR to review and you now have to broaden resources with PR commit access which is a more dangerous access to grant than having translation review and signoff happen within Weblate. You also lose easy insights into what strings are untranslated if you do away with Weblate completely. Historically translations have required 2 people to sign off, and then ErC as part of their own review process batches the suggestions into a PR | 00:45:26 |
jorgesumle | Except for Esperanto | 11:52:02 |
xmrscott | 20 contributors each making 1 suggestion per repository across three repositories becomes 60 PRs instead of 3 batch PRs made from weblate as a simple example | 00:56:35 |

jorgesumle | OK, I'm trying to translate downloading the source code, the problem is that files are in yml format and I don't know how to find the untranslated strings. Can you give me advice on how to contribute? | 11:27:32 |

jorgesumle | Now Weblate works again 🤭 I'm translating at a very slow pace, so Weblate is better than pull requests for me | 23:15:28 |
